It's that time of the year ladies… bathers season!

And no matter your shape or size, getting those togs out and wearing them for the first time of the season can be overwhelming or truly frightening.

In my opinion, finding the perfect swimwear makes it all the easier to wear them with confidence. You want them to hug you in all the right places, give you the coverage you feel comfortable with, and most importantly? They have to look cute!

Over the last few months, I have been on the hunt for the perfect size-inclusive swimsuits and here are my top brands and some of my favourite styles!

Active Truth

This brand is new to the swimwear world, but they have really hit the mark!

My favourite style is Coolum Core Support One Piece, which is available in sizes 6 to 26. The fabric is really high quality and for me, the coverage is perfect. I find this swimsuit is my go-to for beach days with the kids.

They also have a really cute bikini in the same fabric — it's textured, and even though it's not patterned, the textured fabric adds some fun detail!

Curvy Swimwear

Curvy Swimwear is my go-to swimwear brand!

They specialise in plus-size swimwear, and they bring their A-game when it comes to fashionable, stylish swimmers. If colours, patterns and sexy swimsuits are your thing, then this is definitely the brand.

My favourite is the Bandeau One Piece because it's so versatile. It can be worn strapless, and the gathered sides are super flattering on the tummy.

ArteSands

This is another fabulous Australian brand that caters to sizes 10 to 24. They have some of the most stunning printed bathers!

If I have a fancy beach holiday coming up, then ArteSands is always my go-to. You can also shop for the brand in selected swimwear stores, which is so handy if you prefer trying your swimwear on before buying.

Une Piece

Une Piece is definitely more of your luxury resort-style swimwear, but we all need a fancy swimsuit in our wardrobes. This Australian brand doesn't just make stunning swimsuits; they're also UPF50+.

With a size range of 6 to 24, my favourite styles have to be the Classic Square Neck in Black and the Classic One Shoulder.

City Chic

City Chic have been a long-established plus-size brand in Australia, but they've also had a big revamp recently, and their swimwear is on point.

It's stylish, colourful and a little bit sexy (if that's what you are looking for!). I also love that they give you the option to mix and match bikinis to make a set that works best for your personal style. Their sizes range from 14 to 22, and my favourite style has to be the Avalon 1 Piece.

How to style swimwear.

Now, finding the perfect swimsuit is one thing, but rocking them with confidence is another. I always like to add a bit of style when I am in my togs. My top tips are:

• Add an oversized linen shirt for a bit of extra coverage.

• Accessorise with a hat, sunnies and your favourite beach bag.

• Wear them with a cute skirt or a pair of shorts.

Remember, life is too short to waste it sitting on the sand. Get the togs on and enjoy the beautiful summer! 🙌🏼
