An oversized denim shirt is a bona fide styling hero, and I won't hear otherwise.
It's one of those eternally cool, effortless essentials that you can pull out regularly and know you're going to look good.
The style also scores major points for versatility: you can wear it as a top, undone as a shacket, teamed with matching jeans for a double denim look, or around your waist to give your outfit some extra oomph.

As we enter autumn, AKA layering season, denim shirts are the missing piece our wardrobes are asking for. They're perfect for teaming with this season's neutrals like chocolate brown and beige, but I'm convinced they go with everything.
Before you scroll to the shopping bit, keep in mind not all denim shirts are created equal.
I like mine to be more on the structured side, made from thicker denim rather than lightweight chambray. If your shirt's too flimsy, it might not give you the coverage you're looking for through the cooler months, especially if you want to style it open as a jacket.
