I'm wearing it right now, as I write this article.
I wore it on the weekend, for coffee with friends, and I'll probably wear it again tomorrow for a day of parks and playdates with my toddler. That's how much I love my new wardrobe addition.
It works for so many scenarios and occasions, I actually can't envision an outfit this piece wouldn't work with.

I'm talking about a knitted shacket. Shacket, of course, being a cute hybrid of "shirt" and "jacket".
For years I've relied on shackets in different textures like denim, cord and flannel as an essential layering piece in my wardrobe. I think we all have. But the knitted version is the upgrade to know about now. It's got all the same features of a denim one, like a collar, pockets and buttons - only it's soft and slouchy.
I first came across the knit shacket at a local café, where I saw a woman wearing one in a beige colour with her yoga tights and sneakers. I loved the look of her lightweight jacket so much I almost tapped her on the shoulder to ask about it — but I let the opportunity pass.
