If you only buy one new pair of sneakers this season, make it these.

Here at Mamamia, we're kind of sneaker obsessed.

Thankfully, a very specific celeb-approved sneaker happens to be one of three shoe styles everyone will be wearing this season.

This time last year, we were all wearing mesh ballet flats and chunky sandals, and while those styles are still around, there are some fresh spring trends we've identified for the months ahead.

Here are the definitive styles to get your feet into as the weather heats up.

But first, let's discuss the spring fashion trends you probably already have in your wardrobe. Post continues below.

The 3 shoe styles everyone will be wearing this spring.

1. Suede sneakers.

If you're only going to buy one pair of sneakers this season, make them suede.

If you thought you couldn't wear suede in the warmer months, I'm here to prove you wrong — because textured leather trainers are looking just right to team with all your spring staples.

While Adidas' cult suede sneakers have had their reign for well over a year, we're seeing other key brands edging in on their market.

Brown suede sneakers in shades of tan, sand, chocolate brown and chestnut have been dominating recent Fashion Week street style from New York and Paris to Budapest and Copenhagen.

Chocolate brown suede sneakers are proving popular with celebrities, too.

Gigi Hadid was recently spotted in SoHo wearing brown suede Larroudé sneakers, while Selena Gomez chose brown Steve Madden sneakers for her lakeside holiday in September.

Sofia Richie Grainge was also recently seen in a retro pair of Reebok's Classic AZ sneakers, and US sportswear brand Alo's sleek suede Sunset Sneakers are the current style of choice for Elsa Hosk and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. They're not cheap, but you'll get your money back on cost-per-wear.

Aside from brown suede, look to neutral shades and soft blues for a fresh update that'll play nicely with things like linen dresses and white denim.

It's true, it really is. THONGS ARE COMING FOR US ALL.

Get that pedi booked stat; the time has come to get your toes out of retirement.

What started as a trend for very early adopters back in summer 2024 has now reached fever pitch, with the humble thong becoming absolutely inescapable.

Just look at the recent street style images from Copenhagen Fashion Week, where almost every outfit — no matter how extravagant — was teamed with the most basic of rubber flip flops (we're talking Havaianas.)

The good news is, there are a variety of more elevated styles to get your tootsies into if rubber shoes aren't your speed, from patent leather options to jelly straps and flatforms.

This is not so much a definitive style as a whole category of trending footwear. Exposed heels are hot right now, so if you're looking for shoes to wear to all your summer events, look no further than a pair of sleek mules.

Can you walk 20,000 steps in them? Probs not. Will they look cute with your party dress? Yes!

With a distinct early 2000s feel, we're seeing styles that throw back to that era in satin, suede and metallic leather on all the most fashionable feet on the 'gram.

Alexa Chung's a fan of the traditional kitten heel mule, while Melbourne influencer Rozalia Russian is leaning into the wedge thong revival.
