Sarah Harris confirms Shark Tank Australia is over after four seasons.

Shark Tank host Sarah Harris has confirmed the show has come to an end after four seasons.

She posted a photo to Instagram with RedBalloon founder and Shark Tank ‘Shark’ Naomi Simson, writing the show had a good run but was officially over.

“After four seasons, tens of millions of dollars worth of deals and two babies (my contribution! lol) @sharktankau has wrapped up.”

She said she was thrilled to have been a part of the show, calling it an incredible experience.

Shark Tank saw entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to some of Australia’s most successful business people, including Simson and Boost Juice founder Janine Allis.

A Fairfax Media investigation earlier this year found the vast majority of deals seen on the show never proceeded after the cameras stopped rolling.

Though the pitches are vetted by the Channel 10 program’s producers prior to filming, the millionaire investors also conducted their own due diligence on the business’ proposal once an agreement was made. It was during this process that some deals broke down.

In a statement issued to Mamamia in May, a spokesperson for Shark Tank’s creators Endemol Shine Australia said it is important to remember that the Sharks are investing their own money.

“As in any proposed business investment, even one where the pitch and deal is filmed, comprehensive due diligence is required before the investment proceeds.

“There can be many reasons for a deal to not proceed. That said, even where deals do not go ahead, the Sharks often provide their assistance, mentoring or invaluable introductions for entrepreneurs."
