An insider reveals what really goes on at an elite sex party.

“I have always been curious about sex and I describe myself as pansexual because I am attracted to an individual, not what is under their clothes.

In June I hosted my very first Killing Kittens party for the ‘world’s sexual elite’ in Sydney and we had more than 50 guests book in, which was the biggest turnout yet! It was a perfect mix of newcomers and party ‘pros’ who all had a lot of fun playing together and fulfilling each other’s fantasies.

I first went to a members-only Killing Kittens party when I was in my early twenties. I remember walking into this beautiful old townhouse in London. There were candles everywhere, low music and the atmosphere was really seductive. It was a hot night and the experience stayed with me for a long time.

While sex clubs will always have their place as part of the ‘lifestyle’, the mystery of a sex party that includes an unknown location (guests are told just hours before), the beautiful masks and outfits and the uncertainty of who will start the proceedings, makes for an electrically charged environment.

Killing Kittens’ parties are all about female pleasure and I feel passionately about how important it is to let women have the power and always be the one to take the lead and initiate physical contact. It means the atmosphere is very non-macho and relaxed, no single men are allowed to attend and so there are always more women to outnumber them.

We welcome a variety of ages; couples and singles at the party and not all of our guests are size eight models. There is a strict rule that guests must join up as online members before they can come along and they also must have a photo ‘approved’.

While that sounds a bit scary, it doesn’t mean we don’t welcome people of every size and shape, it is more about people who look after themselves, have sex appeal and a cheeky sense of fun!
People often don’t realise that all of the guests have different fantasies they hope to fulfill at a sex party. As host I try to chat to them all before they arrive on the online forum so I know who is keen for a partner swap, a lesbian experience or to have a threesome with another woman. All couples have their own rules and there is no pressure to join in, as some guests are happy to simply watch the action unfold.

First-timers can be nervous and while we have champagne on hand for social lubrication, we do our best to help guests relax by introducing them to each other and starting a conversation, which is especially important for the single female guests who arrive alone.

Behind every party and every guest’s hottest desires, there is also a lot of hard work that the team and I put into the planning.

We want each party has to offer something a little different, so we put a lot of time and effort into finding the right venue and choosing the right theme. There are a lot of practicalities to consider too such as women wearing expensive ball gowns and high heels don’t want to deal with tiny steep staircases and narrow corridors! We serve champagne and a few nibbles but we never serve red wine to avoid us having to scrub stains out of cream carpets when guests start to strip off and lose control! We do however promote safe sex with plenty of mini packets of lube as well as condoms in every size, in every room.

As hostess I always wear a sexy uniform as do the other girls but we keep our masks off. We are absolutely not allowed to ‘play’ and instead we concentrate on making sure everyone else has a fantastic time. We are always professional and we also have to be discrete to protect any high-profile guests or identities.

On the night when the action gets going, we run around making sure that guests are hydrated with enough water and by the end of the party in June we were serving tea and coffee and ordering taxis!

The old image of sex parties as a place for creepy men to get their kicks is completely redundant. I love seeing the husbands or boyfriends ferry drinks for their partners back and forth from the bar while just letting the women enjoy themselves. The men I talk to are often there to help their wives fulfill a hot girl-on-girl fantasy, something they are very willing to support.

As Killing Kittens is still a relatively new entry to the sex party scene in Australia, I’m really keen to introduce even more types of parties here that have long had a presence overseas.

There are the kink and fetish focused parties ‘Torture Kittens’, the over 45s parties ‘Silver Kittens’ and there are the ‘Salon’ series of events where guests get together to listen to sex industry experts and talk frankly about pleasure and sex education.
