In what might be the most heartwarming — and believable — detail to emerge from the reception, both Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran reportedly gave speeches during the evening celebrations.

Sources told People that the pair took to the microphone to toast the happy couple — which makes perfect sense given that Taylor and Selena's friendship spans over a decade, and Ed has collaborated with Benny on multiple albums over the years.

There's something rather lovely about having your closest friends stand up and share their love for both you and your new spouse, especially when those friends happen to be global superstars who know a thing or two about putting together meaningful words.

Rumours of drama with Selena's mother. 

Rumours started swirling that there was tension between the bride and her mother, Mandy Teefey over not walking her daughter down the aisle.

The speculation got so ridiculously out of hand that Mandy actually had to take to her Instagram Stories to set the record straight — which, let's be honest, is absolutely bonkers that a mother has to publicly defend her relationship with her daughter on her wedding day.
