Since the cameras stopped rolling, the Utah-based influencers have been busy stirring up even more controversy.

From relationship meltdowns to religious departures, here's everything that happened after Season 1 wrapped (and everything we can expect to see play out on screen in Season 2 — which premieres this week).

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen's relationship status.

The show's most tumultuous couple have apparently called it quits... again. After their roller-coaster relationship was documented in Season 1 (including footage of Taylor's 2023 domestic violence arrest), things have been rocky, to say the least.

Taylor opened up about the tumultuous time they were experiencing as a couple in September 2024, telling Us Weekly, "We are not fully together, but not fully done. I don't know what the future holds with him and I."

But that same month, Taylor posted a cryptic TikTok with the caption, "Not me slowly morphing into 2022 me", with tears in her eyes, seemingly confirming a breakup.

Her MomTok costars were quick to comment with support, with Mayci writing, "This new chapter will be better than ever! Lean on us, we got you babe."

Ahead of the upcoming season, Taylor claimed that she and Dakota have been spending time working on themselves individually.

"I feel like right now we are individually working on ourselves and trying to heal, for not only ourselves, but for our son. So that's been the main focus the last few months, last half of a year," she explained to People.

"But to me, I don't know, I never say never, but right now it's just individually trying to heal and work on things we needed to work on."

So it's safe to say, while the couple don't seem to be together at the moment, a reconciliation isn't completely off the table.

Taylor and Whitney's reconciliation.

The self-proclaimed Queen Bee of MomTok, Whitney, had a rough time in the Season 1 finale when she showed up uninvited to Mikayla's birthday party after feuding with nearly everyone in the group.

Things didn't get much better after the show ended, with Whitney becoming the target of many negative videos form her cast mates. In a TikTok video, Mikayla accused Whitney of continuing to "play the victim".

While some fans enjoyed the pile on, support grew for Whitney from those who felt this was resorting to teenage bullying tactics.

But, amongst the MomTok crew, Taylor has now seemingly repaired her friendship with Whitney — despite their earlier power struggles.

The unlikely duo recently cemented their status as frenemies-turned-friends during their joint appearance on The Tonight Show, where they shared dirty soda taste tests with Jimmy Fallon while addressing their complicated relationship.

"I feel like it ebbs and flows," Whitney said about her friendship with Taylor.

"We literally just had a heart to heart, so I feel like it's flowing."

Jessi opens up about why she left the Mormon Church.

In a very open moment, Jessi has opened up about why she left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints altogether.

During a candid sit-down with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Jessi dropped the tea on her exit from the Mormon Church, claiming that it was mostly because of the "culture".

"I represent an ex-Mormon on the show, which I love," Jessi confessed. "Every religion has people who are super devout and people who have left, and I love that anyone in any religion can relate."

"It can be really toxic where we live and I just felt like it wasn't for me," she said. "And half of my family had already left, so when I was in my mid-twenties, I started stepping away."

Jen is pregnant… again.

Remember when Zac had a meltdown over Jen attending a Chippendale's show in Vegas? Well, despite that controlling behaviour and their financial struggles (with Jen being the breadwinner while Zac attended medical school), the couple stayed together and moved to New York.

And they're now expecting their third child.

But despite the happy news, Jen has revealed that she and Zac actually spent some time apart following the backlash from their time on the show.

"Just because of everything that we went through last year and because of everything we've had to do so much therapy," she explained about working towards mending their relationship.

"We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Right now, I'm focusing on my mental health, my marriage and becoming the best version of myself that I can be."

Jen is, in fact, not related to Ben Affleck.

And in case you were wondering — despite her last name, Jen has confirmed she's not related to Ben Affleck.

The bizarre rumour that Zac Affleck was somehow related to Hollywood royalty became one of the most talked-about storylines from Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. But as viewers questioned whether the connection was legitimate, Jen has finally addressed the family tree controversy.

"I brought it up once and press ran with it, and I feel like that's all I've ever talked about since then," Jen told PEOPLE. "But at this point, I'm like, 'Hey, if I meet Ben Affleck and J.Lo on the way, then great.'"

In a confessional, Zac himself set the record straight on the alleged A-list family connection that had viewers buzzing.

"I have no idea if I am or am not related to Ben Affleck and that had been like a running joke in my family," he admitted. "It's never been something serious. And so, when Jen started telling people that, I did tell her, 'I don't think you should say that anymore. I think that's probably gonna backfire.'"

There's a new Mom on the block.

The jaw-dropping MomTok meltdown began when Taylor Frankie Paul blew up the internet with her 2022 divorce announcement, revealing she and husband Tate had been "soft swinging" with other Mormon influencers — allegedly including Makenna and Brayden Rowley, plus Miranda and Chase McWhorter, who all frantically denied involvement.

Season 1 quickly cleared the current cast of any swinging shenanigans, but conspicuously missing was Taylor's ex-bestie Miranda, who turned down producers despite multiple meetings at the time.

Fast-forward to Season 2, and suddenly Miranda's had a dramatic change of heart, joining the show that made her former BFF famous — no doubt ready to spill even more scandalous tea about the partner-swapping saga that transformed these Utah moms from TikTok dancers to the hottest reality stars.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premieres on Disney+ on May 15.
