Content warning: This story details an alleged sexual assault and domestic violence.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs is finally having his day in court, as the music mogul faces a sex-trafficking trial in New York.

On September 16, 2024, Combs was arrested at a Manhattan hotel. The court documents stated the rapper had "abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfil sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct".

Combs, who pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations, has been held in jail since his arrest.

In early October, Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee stated he planned to file lawsuits from more than 120 alleged victims, with allegations dating back more than 20 years.

However, it's important to note that the criminal case for which Diddy was arrested is separate from the civil lawsuits that have been filed in multitudes.

Listen to The Quicky discuss Combs' trial. Post continues below.

The arrest came on the heels of a leaked video that showed Combs chasing, beating and dragging Ventura in a hotel lobby in 2016. Combs later apologised for the video. Ventura settled a lawsuit against Combs in November 2023.

With the trial underway, here is everything that happened since Combs was arrested and the trial began.

May 20: Cassie's mum testifies.

Ventura's mum Regina Ventura took the stand on Tuesday, testifying she was "scared about my daughter's safety" during Ventura's relationship with Combs.

She detailed a 2011 incident where Combs allegedly demanded $20,000 (USD) from her family after threatening to release explicit videos of Ventura due to her relationship with rapper Kid Cudi.

In an email, shown to the court, Combs threatened to release two tapes of Cassie — including one on Christmas Day. He also threatened Cassie and Cudi would be physically harmed by other parties.

"I was physically sick," Regina told the court. "He was trying to hurt my daughter. He wanted $20,000 because she was having a relationship with Scott Mescudi."

Fearing for her daughter's safety, Regina and her husband secured the funds through a home equity loan, according to The Guardian. The money was later returned, but the emotional distress remained.

When her daughter returned home for Christmas, Regina said she learned of Combs' alleged abuse and took photos of bruises on Ventura's body.

Notably, Combs' legal team chose not to cross-examine Regina Ventura following her testimony.

Earlier in the day, Combs's former personal assistant David James, who worked for Combs from 2007 and 2009, testified that Ventura felt trapped in her relationship due to Combs's controlling behaviour.

According to The Guardian, James detailed his duties, which included setting up hotel rooms for Combs, laying out Combs's clothes and toiletries, and procuring "personal items" such as baby oil, lubricant, condoms and snacks.

James detailed Combs's erratic actions, including making staff work excessively, carrying medications and weapons.

Sharay Hayes, a male exotic dancer known as "The Punisher," testified that he was paid $800 to perform a sensual scene for Combs and Ventura in a Trump Tower suite in 2012. Hayes stated that Ventura instructed him to avoid eye contact with Combs and not to communicate with him.

He testified that he had been hired by Ventura and Combs between eight and 12 times to take part in Combs's "freak-offs".

Homeland Security Agent Gerard Gannon also testified about a 2024 raid on Combs's Miami estate, revealing the discovery of sex toys, baby oil, and parts of AR-15 firearms.

May 19: Week two begins.

Ventura's former best friend, Kerry Morgan, testified about the alleged abuse she witnessed. She told the jury how she watched Ventura lose her spark in the relationship and said she begged her to leave Combs.

Morgan testified about a disturbing incident in Jamaica in 2013. She recounted hearing Ventura's "guttural, terrifying" screams during an alleged attack by Combs, describing the experience as deeply unsettling.

In another instance, she recalled Combs allegedly attacking her at Ventura's apartment in 2018.

Morgan said Combs "boomeranged a wooden hanger at my head," leaving her with a concussion and vomiting, per Rolling Stone. After Ventura offered her $30,000 and a non-disclosure agreement to "close" the matter, Morgan said the women's friendship ended.

Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane, testified about witnessing Combs physically assault Cassie, including punching, choking, and dragging her. She also described an incident where Combs attempted to hit Cassie with a frying pan and later threatened Richard to keep silent.

She said she feared for her life after Combs allegedly said she could "go missing" if she reported seeing him beat Ventura at his LA home in 2009, telling the jury she thought she and her bandmates "could die" if they spoke up, per ABC.

May 16: Diddy's son to head to trial over sexual assault allegations.

Diddy and his eldest son, Christian Combs, are demanding a jury trial after the music mogul's son was accused of sexual assault.

Grace O'Marcaigh says she was working as a steward on a yacht leased by Combs and his family in December 2022 when she was allegedly assaulted.

The experience was "sold as a wholesome family excursion" but turned into a "hedonistic environment," according to the lawsuit lodged in April 2024, per CNN.

O'Marcaigh alleged the drinks served for her and other women on board may have been spiked with drugs, and said suspected sex workers and other celebrities were often brought aboard.

The lawsuit claims Christian insisted O'Marcaigh drink tequila with him, and then became "violent", grabbing her arm when she tried to leave.

She alleged he groped her and "proceeded to kiss her neck, face, and hands."

In a separate incident, O'Marcaigh alleged Christian tried to force her to perform oral sex on him in the yacht's cinema, per the BBC.

"The Plaintiff began fighting Defendant C. Combs, and not long after, her partner on board entered the cinema," the filing says, per The Sun, at which point she was able to escape the room.

O'Marcaigh says a complaint she filed with the ship's captain was not taken seriously, and alleges that Diddy paid a hefty tip to the ship's crew to keep her complaint quiet.

Combs is also named in the lawsuit for aiding the alleged assault.

In a statement to CNN last year, an attorney for Combs and his son said they believe the lawsuit contains "manufactured lies and irrelevant facts," and they will seek to "dismiss this outrageous claim."

According to The US Sun, Combs and his son are now looking to take the matter to trial.

The court filing states: "Defendants Christian Combs and Sean Combs hereby demand a trial by jury on all claims so triable."

According to the filing, seen by The Sun, Combs and his son now have until May 30 to file an official response to the lawsuit.

May 15: The defence cross-examine Cassie.

Over the past week, we've heard harrowing allegations of abuse from Diddy's former partner, Cassie Ventura, as she bravely takes the stand as the prosecution's key witness.

Combs' legal team began their cross-examination of Cassie, aiming to discredit her testimony and paint their relationship as consensual and mutually indulgent.

The defence confronted Cassie with text messages that appeared to show jealousy and emotional attachment, trying to suggest the relationship was more complex and consensual than she described.

They argued that the "freak-offs" were part of a mutually agreed swinger lifestyle and not the result of force or manipulation.

The defence pushed back on the claim that Combs mixed baby oil with date-rape drugs for the encounters. His lawyer called it a "conspiracy theory" and suggested the acts were consensual adult activities, not crimes.

May 14: Another alleged victim comes forward.

Now, as all eyes are on Cassie Ventura in Diddy's trial, another woman has come forward with a terrifying story of her own.

In the lawsuit, obtained by People after it was filed on Wednesday, May 14, a woman identified as Jane Doe claimed Combs assaulted her in July 2001.

Per the outlet, Doe met Combs for the first time in an elevator in May that year and met up a few times before the rapper invited her to his studio in July.

Doe said she brought a friend with her to the studio, after which they went to the Bowery Ballroom and were brought to a private area.

She alleged the pair were given drinks that made them feel "weird" before they left with Combs and a few others to his New York City apartment.

There, she alleged, Combs "forcefully" led her inside his bedroom, "put his hand around her throat and said, 'I'm going to suck the life out of you.'"

According to the documents, per People, Doe claimed he held her arm down "while using his other hand to swiftly unbuckle his belt and pants".

She allegedly screamed for him to get off but said Combs ignored her pleas and raped her.

Combs allegedly tried to contact her two days after the incident, but she did not reply.

She said the alleged assault left her with "trouble being vulnerable and alone with men," and that she "became withdrawn and was a shell of herself." She is asking for a jury trial and damages.

The confronting allegations are the latest in a long list against Combs. The music mogul is currently facing five federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

May 14: More revelations from Cassie.

On the second day of testimony, Ventura shared further disturbing accounts and addressed her civil lawsuit against Combs.

She confirmed she received $20 million (USD) from a 2023 civil suit against Combs. Prosecutors argued the civil suit was what triggered the federal investigation and led to the current criminal charges.

Ventura recounted an incident where, after meeting for a "closure lunch" post-breakup, Combs allegedly raped her. She said she was under the influence at the time and incapable of consent.

She told the court she became addicted to opioids during their relationship and later received a diagnosis of PTSD, attributing both to Combs' control and abuse. Ventura said he would encourage her to take drugs and once even gave her ketamine before a sex act.

May 13: Cassie Ventura is called to the stand.

Ventura took the stand as the prosecution's key witness, giving emotional and graphic testimony of a years-long relationship marked by abuse, coercion, and trauma.

She alleged Combs forced her into drug-fuelled sex acts with male sex workers while he watched and recorded them. Ventura said these acts, known as "freak-offs," began when she was just 19 and continued for years.

Ventura described Combs as controlling, dictating what she wore, where she went, and who she spoke to. She recounted being physically assaulted — pushed, slapped, kicked and stomped on. She said he once dangled a male friend of hers off a balcony in a rage.

Ventura also testified about Combs' control over her appearance and his threats towards others, including rapper Kid Cudi.

She said he threatened rapper Kid Cudi's life, claiming he'd blow up his car. She said she later heard about an explosion involving Kid Cudi's car and believed Ventura had followed through.

May 12: Opening arguments begin.

Prosecutors alleged that over two decades, Combs operated a criminal enterprise that exploited women through coercion, violence, and manipulation. Central to their case is testimony from Ventura, who claims she endured years of abuse and was coerced into drug-fuelled sex acts, some of which were recorded and used for blackmail.

Additional witnesses, including a male escort and former employees, are expected to corroborate these allegations.

The defence acknowledged Combs' history of violent outbursts but argued that the sexual activities were consensual and part of a swinger lifestyle. They argued that the charges stem from blurred lines between private behavior and criminal activity, emphasising that being "mean" is not a federal crime.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial is expected to last approximately eight weeks.

May 1: Sean Combs rejects a plea deal.

Combs formally rejected a plea deal offered by federal prosecutors days before his high-profile trial.

The specific terms of the plea deal have not been made public, but what is known is that the deal would have required Combs to plead guilty in exchange for a lighter sentence than he would face if convicted at trial.

In court, Combs confirmed to the judge that he understood and declined the offer, opting instead to face trial on all charges.

Combs's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, previously hinted that his client would not be accepting a plea deal.

"It's not up to me. It's up to Mr Combs. I don't see it happening because he believes he's innocent," Agnifilo stated.

April 25: Footage of Cassie's assault to be included as evidence in the trial.

The judge decided to allow the jury to view video footage showing Combs physically assaulting Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016.

This footage, first aired by CNN in May 2024, depicts Combs punching, shoving, kicking and dragging Ventura in a hotel hallway while wearing only a towel.

Combs' legal team had argued that the video was misleading, claiming it had been altered and sped up, but the judge rejected these arguments, stating the footage's relevance outweighed any potential prejudice.

Prosecutors are working with a video expert to ensure the jury sees an accurate version, including slowing down certain clips to match real-time events.

April 4: Prosecutors add more charges.

Federal prosecutors added two new charges against Combs in a third amended indictment filed in early April 2025.

The new charges include an additional count of sex trafficking and one count of transportation to engage in prostitution, both related to a woman identified in court documents as 'Victim 2'.

Prosecutors allege these offences occurred between 2021 and 2024. According to court filings, prosecutors claim Combs used "force, fraud or coercion" to recruit and transport the woman across state lines with the intent of engaging in prostitution.

The new sex trafficking charge carries a significant mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison if convicted.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

February 28: More lawsuits are filed against Sean Combs.

A wave of legal action hit Combs with 10 new lawsuits submitted just before the closing window provided by New York's Gender-Motivated Violence Act legislation.

This special provision allows victims to pursue historical cases that would have otherwise been blocked by the statute of limitations.

Among the allegations, an unnamed male escort claims sexual assault occurred, followed by threatening behaviour from Combs who allegedly stated: "If I can get Pac [Tupac] hit, what the [expletive] do you think can happen to you?"

The legal proceedings also include a case from Kirk Burrowes, who co-founded Bad Boy Entertainment with Combs. Burrowes alleged that Combs repeatedly called him to his office where he would arrive to find the music mogul engaged in sexual activities.

According to the filing, Burrowes claimed: "Combs orchestrated these encounters as a means of psychologically breaking down Plaintiff's resistance and establishing his submission."

In response to these multiple filings, representatives for Combs issued a statement rejecting the claims.

"We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason," they said.

"With the deadline for New York's Gender-Motivated Violence Act expiring tomorrow, it's clear that opportunists are rushing to file last-minute, meritless claims. Mr Combs remains confident he will prevail in court."

February 22: One of Diddy's lawyers quits the case.

Just three months out from Combs' trial, one of the music mogul's lawyers pulled out of the criminal case.

According to court papers, Anthony Ricco filed a motion on Thursday, February 20, to withdraw as one of the 55-year-old's six defence attorneys — without explanation.

"Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs," Ricco wrote in the Manhattan federal court affidavit.

"It is respectfully but regrettably requested that the court grant the relief requested."

The bid won't be official until a judge signs off on it, and they must find sufficient reason to approve the request. But according to Ricco, they will.

He didn't divulge his reason for stepping down, which it's been suggested was to protect attorney-client privilege. He did, however, note that the decision came after speaking with Combs' lead counsel, Marc Agnifilo.

The lawyer insisted that "there are sufficient reasons" for his stepping down from the case, and assured the judge that his resignation wouldn't delay the May trial, as Combs "will continue to be represented by five other attorneys of record."

January 14: Diddy's lawyers demand authorities turn over 'freak-off' videos.

In a disturbing filing on January 14, Combs' lawyers demanded authorities hand over videos of his alleged 'freak-offs', claiming they will 'prove his innocence' in court.

Per The Daily Mail, Coombs' lawyers submitted a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian asking to have prosecutors produce nine videos the rapper is said to have partaken in. His lawyers say the videos absolve him of any wrongdoing and show 'private sexual activity' between him and Ventura.

At this stage, the nine videos in question have been kept under wraps because Ventura's attorney requested they not be shared in order to protect her privacy. The government agreed.

Due to these constraints, Combs' lawyers are only allowed to view them under the supervision of law enforcement. They're now asking for more access in order to capture stills for their exhibits as they approach the May 5 trial date.

They claim the access will prove that Ventura, named in the indictment and court documents as Victim 1, 'not only consented, but thoroughly enjoyed herself.'

Ventura and Combs dated from 2007 to 2018.

In 2023, she accused Combs of coercion, physical abuse and rape. She accused him of plying her with drugs, beating her and forcing her to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters.

She also accused him of raping her towards the end of their relationship in 2018. They settled their suit in 2023.

In the new court filing related to his criminal trial, Combs' lawyers are seeking to gain greater access to nine videos of Combs' and Ventura.

"The recordings also directly refute the allegations that Mr Combs kept these videos as 'collateral'. These recordings were not on Mr. Combs' devices and were not seized from his homes," their letter continued.

"Rather, Victim 1 kept these videos on her own device for years and produced them to the government herself.

"There are no secret cameras, no orgies, no other celebrities involved, no underground tunnels, no minors and not so much as a hint of coercion or violence," they claim.

The lawyers claim they need to be able to view the videos closely in order to prepare for trial. They also claim this has to do with 'women's sexual power.'

"Any fair-minded viewer of the videos will quickly conclude that the prosecution of Mr Combs is both sexist and puritanical," they claim.

"It is sexist because the government's theory perpetuates stereotypes of female victimhood and lack of agency.

"The prosecution reflects a paternalistic view that the government is here to protect women, who cannot be trusted to make their own decision about sex, and are not capable of consenting to sex that the prosecutors view as outside the 'norm'."

Ventura accused Combs of coercion, rape and physical abuse throughout their relationship. These are just nine videos taken across their 11 years together.

January 15: Documentary shares bombshell claims from alleged victims.

Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy premiered on January 15 on Binge, featuring shocking allegations against Combs. The 90-minute special features interviews with childhood friends, former bodyguards and industry insiders.

The documentary includes an interview with a woman named Ashley, who has launched a lawsuit against Combs.

Ashley's claim accuses Combs of sexual assault and battery, abuse, false imprisonment and kidnapping.

In the filing, she says that she met Combs over FaceTime after meeting a man in a bar. She allegedly claimed on the call that she believed Combs played a role in the controversial death of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996.

She claims that the man she met then 'set her up' for an attack a month later.

She was allegedly in the man's apartment in Orinda, California in March 2018, when he asked her to help him with his cancer medication. There, she claims Combs threatened her with a knife and threatened to give her a 'Glasgow smile', which refers to cutting the edges of the mouth upwards.

Ashley claims a woman present, Kristina Khorram, encouraged Combs not to cut her as then they couldn't "sell" her.

She alleges that Combs proceeded to rape her, before being raped by three of the four men in the room. Read more on Ashley's story here.

January 12: A babysitter files a lawsuit claiming she was raped by Diddy.

A woman came forward, identified anonymously as Jane Doe, stating that she was raped by Combs when she was just 16 years old.

The young girl was a babysitter, working in the Manhattan apartment building where Combs' then-romantic partner resided. The name of the partner is left out of the lawsuit but is described as a "well-known woman."

She claims to have encountered Combs and two of his associates outside the building, who she says persistently offered her a ride home. Jane Doe refused the offer on several occasions, but eventually acquiesced to the pressure and accepted the offer.

"After much cajoling by Combs, she agreed and got into his car," the suit alleges. "Getting into Combs' car that day was something plaintiff would come to regret forever."

Instead of being taken home, the plaintiff alleges she was given a drink to "calm her down", which left her feeling "groggy" and "unsteady."

The plaintiff alleges she was taken to another location where Combs raped her. Eventually, the two men drove the young woman home, leaving her in the lobby of her apartment building.

The lawsuit has been filed in New York, where the plaintiff was living with her parents at the time of the alleged incident.

Combs' lawyers denied the allegations, saying that "no matter how many lawsuits are filed", it won't change his stance of innocence.

December 23: A new lawsuit from a former employee.

Phillip Pines, a former employee of Combs, filed a lawsuit against the rapper. In the suit, he claims Combs treated him "like an animal playing fetch in order to prove his loyalty."

Attorneys for Pines claim in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on December 23 that between December 2019 to December 2021, Combs pressured Pines into having sex with a woman and orchestrated parties where he engaged in sex, drugs and alcohol.

Pines, who says he was given the title of senior executive assistant, has also alleged he was asked to set up and clean up for Combs' 'Wild King Nights'.

Variety, who obtained a copy of the complaint, stated the suit alleges Pines was expected to provide "red lights, ice buckets, alcohol, marijuana joints, honey packs for male libido, baby oil, astro glide, towels, illegal drugs and power banger sex machines" for the parties.

Once the parties were over, Pines was responsible for cleaning rooms where these events took place and was tasked with removing evidence of drugs, sex toys, removing bodily stains like blood and urine from furniture or sheets, packing away used items, and was made to watch incriminating videos from Combs personal devices and then delete them.

"He was instructed to show his loyalty to Sean Combs," states the complaint. "If [Plaintiff] refused, he was told he would be terminated and would be blackballed from the industry, along with repercussions."

Pines' lawsuit also details an incident where Combs had two female guests over, and pushed Pines to have sex with one of them. Pines claims he asked for consent, 'hoping the woman would say no', but the female guest consented. After engaging in sex 'for a few moments', he stopped and left the room.

He also claims he saw Combs kicking a guest at a Miami party, and that Combs threw his 51st birthday party while infected with COVID, leading to other guests falling ill.

In a statement to People, Combs' lawyers denied the allegations. They say "truth" will prevail in court.

"No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won't change the fact that Mr Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor," the statement read.

"We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court."

The many civil lawsuits are separate from the criminal charges laid against him.

December 13: Another lawsuit, and the three words Diddy's alleged victim said.

An additional three men sued Combs, accusing the hip-hop mogul of drugging and raping them in the years between 2019 to 2022. The complainants allege that they were plied with spiked drinks and then attacked while unconscious.

One of the three alleged victims (they're all identified as John Doe), claims that he was drugged after meeting with Combs in a New York hotel to discuss finances.

He alleges that he awoke from being drugged mid-way through the sexual assault, and that Combs told him, "I'm almost done."

The lawsuit was filed anonymously in a state court by Thomas Giuffra, a New York attorney who submitted it on the men's behalf.

"This is a long overdue opportunity for the victims to take the power back after carrying the burden of the assaults in silence for several years," Giuffra said in a statement.

"While a lawsuit will not undo the wrongs done to them, it enables the survivors to regain the power and dignity that was stripped from them by Sean Combs."

In response to the new lawsuit, attorneys for Combs stated, "these complaints are full of lies," the lawyers wrote in a statement.

"We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who filed fictional claims against him."

December 9: Jay-Z accused of rape in refiling of civil lawsuit.

Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) was accused in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 with Sean "Diddy" Combs. The accusation came to light in the refiling of the suit, which was first filed in October.

The accusation comes from an anonymous Jane Doe, who claimed Combs and Carter raped her in 2000 after they had brought her to an MTV Music Video Awards afterparty.

However, the plaintiff has since voluntarily dismissed the case.

In the original suit, Jane Doe alleged that she was pinned down and raped by Combs while the male and female celebrity watched. She claimed that when he tried to force her to perform oral sex, she fought him off, grabbed her clothes and left the bedroom, "roaming naked through the house looking for the exit."

In response to the new refiled suit that lists him, Jay-Z released an official statement in which he said his lawyer was sent "blackmail" surrounding the allegations from the lawyer, Tony Buzbee.

"These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?" Jay-Z said in his statement.

"These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case. This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics!

"My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.

"My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit."

November 29: Diddy accused of 'dangling' a woman off of balcony.

Separate from Combs' ongoing criminal investigation, Rolling Stone reported that fashion designer Bryana "Bana" Bongolan has filed a new lawsuit against the singer.

Per the publication, she claims he threatened to kill her and dangled her over a 17th-floor balcony back in 2016.

The 17-page lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles and listed sexual battery, infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment among other claims. She is seeking USD $10 million in damages.

According to Rolling Stone, Bongolan alleges she witnessed abuse between Combs and Ventura before he allegedly threatened and intimidated her.

One night in September 2016, she says he dangled her over the side of Ventura's balcony while screaming at her. The suit says he then threw her onto patio furniture.

"The only purpose of dangling someone over a balcony is to actually kill them or to intentionally terrorise them and rob them of any concept of dominion over their own bodily autonomy and safety," the lawsuit, filed by attorney James R. Nikraftar of Miller Barondess, claims.

"Ms Bongolan refuses to allow this fear to control the rest of her life and brings this action to demand that Mr. Combs takes responsibility for the trauma he intentionally and maliciously inflicted."

Combs "firmly denies" Bongolan's allegations and pleaded not guilty to the claims in the lawsuit.

November 17: Diddy accused of attempting to sway a potential jury and contact potential witnesses.

In an attempt to have Combs' bail request denied, prosecutors submitted a new court filing that alleges the singer sought to contact potential witnesses and manipulate public sentiment in order to sway jurors ahead of his upcoming sex trafficking trial.

People, who obtained copies of the documents, reported that the singer was accused of using other inmates' phone access, using a "non-authorised third-party messaging service" to communicate with multiple people and enlist his children for a "social media campaign", allegedly in an effort to influence a potential jury.

The new allegations claim Combs also instructed his children to post to their social media on his birthday, showing them gathering to celebrate him.

He then "explicitly discussed with his family how to ensure that the video had his desired effect on potential jury members in this case", prosecutors wrote.

They argued that it could be inferred from his behaviour that Combs wanted to blackmail victims and witnesses into silence or into providing testimony helpful to his defence.

Prosecutors also claimed that in a series of recorded phone calls from jail, Combs was shown urging family members to reach out to potential witnesses to create particular narratives in his favour.

"The defendant has shown repeatedly — even while in custody — that he will flagrantly and repeatedly flout rules in order to improperly impact the outcome of his case," they alleged.

"The defendant has shown, in other words, that he cannot be trusted to abide by rules or conditions."

November 13: Allegations of minors attending Diddy's 'freak off' parties.

In a TMZ documentary entitled The Downfall Of Diddy: Inside the Freak Offs, allegations emerged that there were children seen attending one of Combs' parties.

In the documentary, aspiring singer Tanea Wallace claims that she saw minors dressed in provocative attire and surrounded by adults while attending a party at Combs' mansion.

"They're all huddled up. But no, they were little people. Dressed up like Harajuku Barbies, red lipstick, looking like real sexy," Wallace said.

"Am I going to get in trouble?" she continued. "I don't want to say I witnessed any of that crazy stuff but we all have common sense. Little people, not supposed to be there."

When asked if she was referring to underage people, Wallace replied, "It's a shame."

Wallace said that she was invited to Combs' party as a guest of a Saudi Prince. She described the party as a wild all-nighter, with explicit activities and attendees who seemed to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Combs' lawyer has denied Wallace's claims.

"Ms Tanea Wallace has no credibility and her claims about 'freak offs' and minors are completely and categorically false," the statement said, as reported by TMZ.

October 29: Allegations from a 10-year-old boy are filed.

Combs was accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy in 2005.

In one of two civil lawsuits filed by Buzbee, a California plaintiff known as John Doe said that at 10 years old, he was an aspiring actor and rapper when his parents arranged an "audition" for Combs at a New York hotel.

The plaintiff performed several songs for the music mogul, who told the boy he could "make him a star," the lawsuit stated.

"Combs asked Plaintiff how badly he wanted to be a star, and what Plaintiff would do to get to be one. Plaintiff responded, as might any ten-year-old child, that he would 'do anything,'" the lawsuit said.

According to the complaint, Combs gave him a soft drink spiked with drugs, pushed the child down, and forced him to perform oral sex. The plaintiff said he lost consciousness before waking up sore and with his pants undone.

When he started to cry and asked for his parents, John Doe claims that Combs said he would hurt them "badly" if the child ever shared what happened.

In the second lawsuit, another male accuser relayed a story from 2008 when he was a 17-year-old auditioning for the reality TV show Making the Band.

John Doe claims that Combs forced him to perform oral sex on himself and a bodyguard, which Combs framed as a "test" of how much he wanted to succeed in the music industry. He failed the audition because Combs deemed him "untrustworthy due to his reservations about performing oral sex on his bodyguard," the complaint said.

Combs' lawyers have since issued a response to the fresh allegations.

"The lawyer behind this lawsuit is interested in media attention rather than the truth," Combs' lawyers said in a statement. "In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor."

On October 22, news broke that Tony Buzbee filed a new wave of lawsuits against the music mogul, including an allegation from a woman who was just 13 at the time she alleges she was assaulted.

She claims to have been trying to attend the VMAs show at Radio City Music Hall in 2000, and when her attempts without a ticket were unsuccessful, she began asking the limousine drivers outside the venue. She alleges that one told her she "fit what Combs was looking for" and so he invited her to the party.

She signed a non-disclosure agreement upon entering, and had one drink that she claims left her "woozy and lightheaded".

The lawsuit claims the plaintiff, unnamed and listed as Jane Doe, found an empty bedroom to lie down as a place to rest.

"Soon after, Combs, along with a male and female celebrity, entered the room," the suit alleges. "Combs aggressively approached Plaintiff with a crazed look in his eyes, grabbed her, and said, 'You are ready to party.'

Jane Doe alleges that she was pinned down and raped by Combs while the male and female celebrity watched. When he tried to force her to perform oral sex, she claims she fought him off, grabbed her clothes and left the bedroom, "roaming naked through the house looking for the exit."

The suit says she put her clothes on and went to a gas station, where a clerk noticed her distress and let her use the work phone to call her dad.

October 18: Diddy is accused of lacing lotions with GHB.

When cops raided Combs' homes last year, they seized nearly 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.

This detail was widely shared online, even joked about in 'horrible' and 'insensitive' memes, and now, new allegations suggest a harrowing reason behind the volume of lubricant.

On October 18, a lawsuit accused the disgraced rapper of lacing "lotions or similar body oils" with GHB — colloquially known as the "date rape drug".

Gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB) was originally developed as an anesthetic, and is hard to detect when slipped into a drink. It comes in liquid, crystal, or powder form, and can be absorbed through the skin when mixed into lubricants.

The lawsuit detailed "allegations of Combs dousing victims in lotions or similar body oils … laced with GHB, so that the drug would be absorbed through the victim's skin and make it easier to assault him or her."

In September 2024, Combs' lawyer Marc Agnifilio addressed the baby oil seized by authorities.

"I don't think it was 1,000. I think it was a lot," he told the New York Post. "I mean there is a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know.

"And, you know, these are consensual adults doing what consensual adults do, you know."

Agnifilio's remarks prompted Costo, an American retailer, to clarify that they don't sell baby oil in any of their locations, as per TMZ.

October 14: Another six new lawsuits filed, with a minor among the accusers.

On October 14, six lawsuits were filed by attorney Tony Buzbee in New York federal court accusing music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs of rape, sexual assault, and molestation, including allegations of sexual abuse involving a minor.

The lawsuits, filed anonymously by two Jane Does and four John Does, include disturbing allegations spanning nearly three decades.

Among the allegations was a claim from a North Carolina man who said he was just 16 years old when Combs sexually assaulted him at one of the rapper's infamous "white parties" in the Hamptons in 1998.

The plaintiff, identified as John Doe in court documents, alleged Combs ordered him to drop his pants under the pretext that it was a "rite of passage" to break into the music industry, before fondling him.

The man said he complied out of fear and power imbalance but later realised he had been sexually assaulted.

In another case, a woman identified as Jane Doe alleged that in 2004, Combs invited her and a friend to a hotel party, where he forced her friend to perform oral sex and threatened to kill them if they didn't comply. Jane Doe also alleged the star raped her.

Other lawsuits included claims from a security guard who alleged he was drugged and assaulted at a 2006 party, and a man who attended a 2021 party hosted by Combs, claiming he was drugged and assaulted by multiple men, including Combs.

Another lawsuit involves an alleged assault at a Macy's flagship department store in Manhattan in 2008. John Doe claimed he was confronted and forced to perform oral sex in the stockroom.

October 8: Beyoncé and Jay Z's representative defends them from allegations.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé's attorney, Alex Spiro, came out to condemn Piers Morgan after he aired an interview with Jaguar Wright on his Uncensored series, who made several serious allegations about the couple.

Wright once worked with Jay-Z as a backup singer. She referred to him as a "monster", described the duo as a "nasty little couple" who had more "victims" than Combs, and claimed Jay-Z had links with Combs.

Morgan has since issued an apology for airing Wright's comments.

"Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact. And we've therefore complied with the legal request to cut them from the original interview. Editing interviews is not something we do lightly on a show called Uncensored.

"But, like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theatre, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologise to Jay-Z and Beyoncé," he said.

Spiro didn't mince his words about the interview.

"There's rumours and then there's nonsense and this is one step further. This is a pointed and formal accusation of something. I felt needed to be responded to," Spiro said in an interview with TMZ.

"And by doing that to get clicks, it didn't just harm the Carters. What he did effectively was drown out the voices of actual victims in an ongoing case in an ongoing investigation and that was too much for me."

Spiro suggested that Jay-Z and Beyoncé's actions speak louder than their words. Neither has come out to comment on Combs' allegations.

"As to the Carters, I can tell you that when they put their foot down on something as they did here, they are sending a message," he stated.

"And if they can't stand up and make sure right from wrong then who can? I have always believed that the truth will come out in courtrooms and I'm sure the truth will come out here."

October 1: Diddy is accused of sexually assaulting 25 minors, including a 9-year-old.

On October 1, Buzbee announced that Combs was accused of sexually assaulting 25 minors — including a nine-year-old boy.

"I want to focus on the ages of these victims. When we talk about the ages of these victims when the conduct occurred, it's shocking," said Buzbee at the press conference.

He added that Combs' youngest victim was just 9 years old when the disgraced rapper allegedly sexually assaulted them.

"This individual who was nine years old at the time, was taken to an audition in New York City with Bad Boy Records, other boys were there to audition as well," Buzbee told reporters.

"This individual was sexually abused allegedly by Sean Combs and several other people at the studio with the promise to both his parents and himself of getting a record deal," he continued.

September 16: Diddy is arrested.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested on Monday, September 16, by federal agents in a New York City hotel. He was arrested on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for purposes of prostitution, according to the US Attorney's Office in Manhattan.

Combs pleaded not guilty the following day and has since maintained his innocence.

The arrest came months after several other civil lawsuits against the rapper, beginning in November 2023 when Ventura accused him of sexually and physically assaulting her during their relationship.

A video of Combs assaulting Ventura was made public in May 2024. You can read more on this here.
