It's finally awards season, and we're so here for it.
After kicking off the New Year with the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards are here to give us our next taste of the Hollywood elite in action.
Taking place on February 23 (February 24, Australian time) at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, we can expect a raft of tinsel town talent to descend on the venue for the big day.
For 2025, box office smash Wicked, the musical prequel to The Wizard of Oz, has topped the list of film nominees.
Wicked earned five nominations, ahead of four for Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.
Both films will compete for the SAG honour of best movie cast.
Their competitors are Golden Globe winner Emilia Perez, papal selection drama Conclave and Anora, the story of a sex worker who marries the son of a Russian oligarch.
In terms of snubs, it was interesting to see Hollywood heavyweights left out of the Best Actress nominations: including Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie.
It was a setback for the Oscar winners to lose out the Best Actress win at the Golden Globes, and now the lack of nomination for SAG adds an extra sting and raises questions about their Oscar hopes.
Meanwhile, many were surprised to see Denzel Washington miss out on a nomination for his role in Gladiator II, especially as he's been nominated eight times by the guild since 2000.
The SAG awards are closely watched because they are selected by members of the SAG-AFTRA actors union and actors form the largest group of voters for the Oscars, the film industry's top prizes that will be bestowed in March.
