Leah Remini is an actress, an author and one of the most well-known figures to publicly leave the church of Scientology.
Remini may have spent 30 years in quiet dedication to the church, but there is nothing soft about her resurfacing. The 46-year-old has almost made it her mission in life to hit out at what lies beyond the church’s secretive gates.
The former King of Queens star released a book that damned the church in 2015, titled, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.
Remini has since launched an eight-part documentary series, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, that premiered this week.
The Binge podcast hosts Laura Brodnik and Rosie Waterland were blown away by the premiere episode of the salacious series.
“We found out that Tom Cruise’s house is being staffed by Scientologists. All the stuff about alleged abuse,” Laura said.
“It kind of crosses over from being juicy to being truly disturbing.”
Rosie discussed how Remini has included videos taken before she left the church in the new series.
“I think it’s kind of brave of her to put that stuff up there,” Rosie said.
“She was clearly brainwashed.”
Listen to Laura and Rosie discuss the juiciest parts of Leah Remini’s new show.
