Samantha Armytage announces split from her husband after four years of marriage.

For four years, former Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has been married to her husband, Richard Lavender, an equestrian businessman.

However, on December 5, 2024, Armytage confirmed that the pair have separated.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Armytage and Lavender have been apart for several months.

The couple had been living at Lavender's rural property in the NSW Southern Highlands, but Armytage explained she is now back living in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

"Yes, Richard and I have separated. All breakups are hard, but it's somewhat lessened by the fact it's amicable and we wish the best for each other," Armytage told the Telegraph.

"I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I won't be making any further comment."

Armytage has dated Lavender since April 2019, with the pair making it official in a sweet New Year's Eve wedding, which took place at Lavender's 40-hectare highland property back in 2020.

They'd been engaged just over six months at that point, with Lavender proposing in June 2020.

Speaking about the engagement at the time, Armytage told Sunrise, "We'd been picking weeds in the paddock and he said 'darling, do you want to marry me?'"

"It was very sweet, very romantic. He's just a very decent, lovely fellow.

"He is totally the opposite of the showbiz world and TV."
