NO. Bachelor in Paradise’s Sam Cochrane and Tara Pavlovic have officially broken up.

Bachelor in Paradise’s Sam Cochrane and Tara Pavlovic have broken up.

Sam shared the sad news in an Instagram post on Saturday, saying he’s heartbroken that his engagement with Tara has been called off.

“The fairytale that I took part in was deep and surreal. My proposal was meant to be forever but life sometimes takes you away from the dream and you wake up,” the 31-year-old captioned an image of his proposal on the reality TV show.

“So…deep breath…. this has come to an end. I loved Tara with my whole heart and those two people in Fiji fell completely. Watching something you valued fall apart and what you love follow a different path is one of the most difficult things.”

This message goes out to all the beautiful people who shared with me such an amazing journey. The fairytale that I took part in was deep and surreal. My proposal was meant to be forever but life sometimes takes you away from the dream and you wake up. So…deep breath…. this has come to an end. I loved Tara with my whole heart and those two people in Fiji fell completely. It’s hard writing this thinking back to those moments. Your joy in our story and the engagement meant so much and I can assure you it is the saddest thing for me to come to terms with. Watching something you valued fall apart and what you love follow a different path is one of the most difficult things. My heart feels broken and obviously having it play out in public adds so many difficult dimensions. I forgot about the cameras in Fiji and I simply fell in love. The truth is difficult but the path ahead will show the way. Obviously there has been speculation for some time but I needed to know for sure before making anything public. That has been hard. Our time together will always hold a beautiful and difficult place in my heart and I have to believe that everything happens for a reason. Thank you everyone for the beautiful support and being on this journey. In a time that was mostly in hiding your words provided magic. I look forward to the future. I got to see that love is real and powerful…. and it is. I’ll find it again. ❤️✨????????????

The voice over artist, who we first met on Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelorette, said he and Tara struggled to make things work off the island, but trusts everything happens for a reason.

“My heart feels broken and obviously having it play out in public adds so many difficult dimensions. I forgot about the cameras in Fiji and I simply fell in love. The truth is difficult but the path ahead will show the way.

“Obviously there has been speculation for some time but I needed to know for sure before making anything public. That has been hard. Our time together will always hold a beautiful and difficult place in my heart… I got to see that love is real and powerful…. and it is. I’ll find it again.”

Tara later shared an Instagram story addressing the breakup.

"Sam and I have decided to end our relationship. Going through a breakup in the public eye is very difficult... we wanted to wait to let everyone know as we wanted to make sure we have made the right decision," she said.

"What we both felt was 100% real and we both put our best efforts in to make it work in the real world but unfortunately for different reasons it didn't work out.

"I did love Sam very much and I wish him nothing but the best. Everything happens for a reason and I'm sure this will make more sense down the track."

Earlier this month, Sam and Tara responded to rumours they'd broken up, saying they were very much still together. Fans became concerned when the pair unfollowed, then re-followed each other on Instagram.

Sam and Tara got engaged earlier this year during the Bachelor in Paradise finale, after hitting it off on the Fijian island.

Honestly, we're devastated.
