One of the biggest stars of this year’s The Voice is getting harassed, and not by adoring fans.
Sabrina Batshon, who was a runner-up on Team Ricky, is taking out a restraining order against an ex-friend, who already has one against her.
Last night, Sabrina appeared on A Current Affair to discuss how in July, she was hit with an AVO (Apprehended Violence Order) by a man she once counted as a close friend.
Yes, that’s right. HE took out a restraining order against HER, and now she’s doing it back.
Sabrina Bathson and Alex Haddad, when they were still friends.
Alex Haddad, a 41-year-old actor who claims he has had starring roles in Fat Pizza (he had one line) and Underbelly (he was a background extra), befriended Sabrina when she first went on the reality TV show. “He was using the fact that I was going to be on The Voice and sticking to me like glue.” Sabrina told A Current Affair, in a segment that interviewed both Sabrina and Alex.
Apparently, Alex started driving Sabrina to and from rehearsals, giving her career advice, and trying to use her spotlight to further his own career. When she didn’t invite him to her Blind Audition in the show, things turned nasty.
Sabrina says that Alex threatened her, threatened the boy that she took to the show, threatened her friends, and started bad-mouthing her around industry professionals.
“He started contacting contestants on The Voice, the producers of The Voice, managers, directors… anybody who could help me with my career, he started contacting.”
As revealed in the interview, Alex even approached A Current Affair reporter Alison Piotrowski in public, to try and damage Sabrina’s reputation.
