14 years together and two babies: What we know about Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome's relationship.

It's the Harry Potter and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging crossover that no one expected, but everyone is deeply invested in.

Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in HP, and Georgia Groome, who played Georgia Nicholson in ATAPS, have confirmed they welcomed a second child together.

After Grint was photographed holding a newborn in London, the 36-year-old decided to get on top of the rumours and share a photo of his and Groome's baby on Instagram.

In the sweet picture, the newborn was wearing a white onesie with a grey cardigan. Their name, 'Goldie', was embroidered on the front of the onesie.

"Secret Child Slightly Revealed," the actor wrote in the caption, seemingly poking fun at the headlines that had been circulating about their family. "Introducing Goldie G. Grint. ⭐️ A 10/10 baby (so far)."

He went on to thank Groome's obstetrician, writing: "Shout out to @alex.digesu for always delivering 🫡."

This is the couple's second child together.

In May 2020, Grint and Groome announced the birth of their first baby in a statement via their representatives: "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl. We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time."

Six months later, in what would be his first ever post to Instagram, Grint introduced his daughter to the world.

"Hey Instagram... only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint," the actor wrote at the time.

The announcement came two years after Grint told The Guardian in 2018 that he wanted to "settle down and have kids soon".

And though the couple hasn't yet welcomed any sons, we know one name that is probably off the table.

"Would I call him Ron? It's quite a good name, but probably not," Grint said in the same interview. "And Grint's a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with."

The name 'Wednesday', however, was inspired by a different fictional series: The Addams Family.

"It's a good name, isn't it?" Grint told Jimmy Fallon while appearing on The Tonight Show in 2022. "I'm always hesitant to say it was The Addams Family but it was, yeah, kind of The Addams Family. I just always loved the name, it's a good name, it's kind of memorable."

Grint also revealed that he had started introducing Wednesday to Harry Potter.

"She has a wand and a PEZ dispenser with my head on it," Grint said.

While Rupert Grint, 36, and Georgia Groome, 33, have reportedly been dating since 2011, many fans, like us, were completely unaware of the union until a viral tweet in 2018.

"I was today years old when I found out Georgia from Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging has been going out with Ron Weasley since 2011????," a fan wrote on Twitter, attracting over 20,000 likes.

It makes sense that no one knew they were dating, considering the couple is extremely private about their relationship.

Groome, whose only form of social media is X (formerly Twitter), has never publicly spoken about Grint or her kids.

While the 36-year-old is much the same, he has shared a few titbits over the years.

Speaking to Glamour in 2021, the Harry Potter actor called his relationship with the 33-year-old "a very natural thing".

"We're just best friends," he said. "We're kind of the same person; we think the same way. That's always made it work — that's why it's lasted. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what it is, but it works and it's great."

"It's amazing how it completely kind of takes over everything. It's all I really care about, so it's been great," the actor told Entertainment Tonight in 2021.

He went on to say that fatherhood had "changed [his] perspective" on things.

"Since becoming a dad, kind of midway through, just to really have a better sense of what that can do to a family… I just find it just incredible."

A year later, while speaking with Glamour, Grint confessed he was "still kind of coming to terms with what being a dad is" and how much his daughter had transformed him as a person.

"It kind of happened overnight, lifestyle-wise," he said. "I stopped smoking straight away. I've started sleeping so much better — I used to be a horrific insomniac, now I'm sleeping."

As for his decision to keep his life private, Grint told Fallon that being a public figure "just doesn't go with [his] personailty".

"I'm quite a shy person and the thought of kind of sharing my life just didn't seem like it would really fit," he said.

The actor, who most recently appeared in a horror series called Servant, also said that he's "terrible" at Instagram.

"It's really hard, I never know what to post ... It's mainly Servant trailers and the back of my daughter's head," he joked.
