Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s wedding is going to be something of a tiered event.

Although 2640 people will be given access to the grounds surrounding St George’s Chapel during the ceremony, only 600 people have been invited to the chapel service and formal reception, and this number then dwindles down to 200 for the afterparty.

Clearly the afterparty is the hot ticket, but the royals have been careful to keep the details under wraps… For the most part, anyway.

What we do know is that it will take place at Frogmore House, located just a few minutes’ drive from the earlier formal reception, which is taking place at St George’s Hall in Windsor Castle.

Frogmore House has been in the royal family since 1792, and was gifted to Queen Charlotte by her husband, George III.

Interestingly, some historians believe Charlotte may have been mixed race just like Meghan, according to The Washington Post. Them hosting their afterparty at Frogmore House may be a subtle nod to her heritage.

Frogmore House seems to be a running favourite for Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, with the couple hosting their engagement photos on the picturesque grounds back in December.

For the most part, it’s closed to the public, so there are hardly any photos from inside the property – we’ll just have to use our imaginations.

Harry’s cousin, Peter Phillips, was also married there, in May 2008.

The actual party is set to be a lockdown affair. Guests have been told they’ll have to hand over their cameras and mobile phones before they can even set foot inside, and they received some “critical guidance” on this when they received their invitations in the mail, according to News.com.au.

While it’s still not known exactly who scored an invite, Prince Charles will be hosting, and obviously the couple’s close relatives will be in attendance, including the Queen, Prince Philip, Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, who has flown in from the US for her daughter’s wedding.

Meghan’s former Suits co-star Gabriel Macht is also set to attend, along with his wife, Aussie actress Jacinda Barrett.

Other famous friends of Meghan’s who will apparently be there include Priyanka Chopra, designer Misha Nonoo, stylist Jessica Mulroney and British reality star Millie Mackintosh.

Both Harry and Meghan are likely to give speeches, along with best man Prince William, who is set to return the favour after Harry spoke at his 2011 wedding.

According to the Mirror, the afterparty will feature a Tiki-themed bar, and the party itself will be themed carnival and festival, in honour of Harry’s favourite London bar, Mahiki. We would expect nothing less from the reformed party prince.

“Harry’s mates have devised a list of cocktails in honour of the bride and groom, everyone wants it to be a really fun affair,” a source told the Daily Star.

“Both of them are music and festival lovers, so they said they wanted a festival and carnival vibe at the evening do.”

Guests will apparently be welcomed by a steel band and will dine on South African wagyu beef and iced beers.

Elton John is pretty much a shoe-in to perform after he cancelled his Vegas gigs for this weekend, but insiders say Coldplay and Ed Sheeran may also play at the afterparty.

Harry has also hired a food truck called Feast It, run by his friend Minnie Brown, to provide guests with late night snacks.

There is also reportedly going to be ice cream vans on site later on in the evening, according to the Sunday Express.
