He’s one of the most-loved men in tennis.
He is a gentleman. He makes ball boys and ball girls laugh and cry with joy.
This year, he was almost written off as “too old” following six months out due to injury. Why was he injured? Because he hurt his knee giving his twin children a bath.
Now he’s gotten through to the semi-finals at the Australian Open in Melbourne… (Too old for what?)
As far as tennis stars and sporting icons go, you can’t get much better than Roger Federer. The beauty of his athleticism. The honourability of his sportsmanship. That’s why we want him to keep winning.
But his kids… his kids want him to keep winning for a completely different reason. And it’s got nothing to do with tennis, or Grand Slams, or prize money.

Federer has two sets of twins with his wife Miroslava. Twin boys, Lenny and Leo, aged two. And twin girls, Myla and Charlene, aged seven.
Their main concern? The weather.
(Bear in mind, at the time of writing this article it is negative-eight degrees Celsius in Switzerland… eeek!)
“They told me many times, ‘please don’t lose daddy, we want to stay here for longer,'” Federer said at the end of his match last night.

One of his daughters, however, is not so sure.
“For the first time today, one of my daughters said, ‘it’s actually okay, I’m happy to go skiing in Switzerland now,'” Federer continued.
The four-time Australian Open Winner beat German Mischa Zverev last night in the Quarter Finals: 6-1, 7-5, 6-2.
He’s set to verse fellow Swiss Stan Wawrinka in the semi-finals tonight.
And if he gets through to the finals, and has to stay in Australia for a few more days?
“I think my daughter will be okay with it,” he laughed.
