1. Rita Ora’s tweet about Conor McGregor didn’t, uh, exactly go down well with his partner.

Oooooh boy things got interesting on ye olde Twitter overnight, when singer Rita Ora pressed publish on some photos with UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor, captioning them “date night”.

The singer and fighter were seated next to each other at the UK’s Fashion Awards, but the joke that something more was going on between them wasn’t received well by McGregor’s sparring partner Artem Lobov.

In a since-deleted reply tweet, Lobov wrote: “Sorry Rita, Burgers are nice but not when a man has steak at home,” a nod to McGregor’s girlfriend of more than eight years (and the mother of his baby son), Dee Devlin.

What makes the ordeal even more confusing is that Ora herself is in a one-year relationship with musician Andrew Watts.

So, was it all an edgy quip? It appears so, although that explanation won’t please the thousands upon thousands of fans who labelled the tweet “disrespectful”. Regardless, something tells us Rita Ora doesn’t care.

2. We’re so sorry, but The Bachelorette’s James wasn’t the dude who just swiped right to you.

Oh, dear.

Taking to his Instagram Story on Wednesday, the financial advisor said, "It's not really me!", sharing screenshots from three accounts using his photos.

"If anyone's chatting to guys on Tinder using my pics...it's not really me! I have been hacked in the past and see clients victim of fraud too, it's happening heaps ~ so please be careful!

"Never give out your mobile, home address, DOB, full name, etc. all at same time to same company unless they 100 per cent need it - and check they genuinely need it too! As very few should be asking for this info..."

3. The woman who looks so much like Beyonce she gets chased down the street.

This is Bethany Williams. Bethany Williams is from Michigan. Bethany Williams, you may have noticed, looks so much like Beyonce she gets chased down the street.

"I get approached all the time; whether it be on planes, at the airport or while attending events. I've also been chased, had pictures taken of me without my consent and pranks done without me knowing," she recently told the Daily Mail.

"A group of women once chased me and my friend to our car and began singing "Single Ladies", beating my friend's car with the heels of their shoes until we rolled down the window and took a picture with them.

"Most people are generally friendly though and just want a picture, they often say I look like a younger version of Beyoncé."

We're going to say that's because... she does. What a doppelgänger.

4. In case you missed the memo, orange really is the new black when it comes to the red carpet.

If the Arias are the Grammys of Australia, then the AACTAs (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards) are our Golden Globes which means we get to see our favourite on-screen faces in their red carpet best.

First to set the tone (so sorry), was Channel Seven journalist Edwina Bartholomew who wore an eye-catching orangey-red gown from Aussie label Bianca Spender, before finding host of E! Australia Ksenija Lukich in an identical shade.

Coincidentally, they were also joined by TV host and singer Erin Holland, who donned the exact same colour.

While both ladies were dressed a bit more glam then their Litchfield Penitentiary counterparts, we have a bone to with her.

Are their dresses actually orange? or vermillion? a bright poppy/ burnt terracotta/ Fanta or just plain red?

Tbh, we don't know and neither does Edwina, but it looks pretty darn fantastic.

5. How Angelina Jolie tried to save her marriage with Brad Pitt.

Millions of women know the pain that is trying to save a marriage when it’s dying.

For Angelina Jolie, her attempts involved making a movie with the man she loved; Brad Pitt, her husband.

“We had met working together and we worked together well,” the 42-year-old actress, producer, and philanthropist told The Hollywood Reporter’s podcast, Awards Chatter yesterday. “I wanted us to do some serious work together. I thought it would be a good way for us to communicate.”

She wrote, directed and starred in By The Sea (2015) alongside Pitt. It’s a relationship drama, written – Jolie said at the time – to reflect all the ways a person can grieve.

“Things happen for different reasons,” she told Awards Chatter. “Why did I write that exact piece? Why did we feel that way when we made it? I’m not sure.”
