Whenever someone mentions Hailey Bieber's iconic beauty brand, rhode, I get a little tingle.

Huzzah! Another opportunity for me to flex the fact I happened to be in New York on the same day rhode launched in stores in the US last September.

It kind of happened by accident. I strolled into a Sephora over there, only to be met with crowds of people swarming the rhode stand, with only a few products remaining on the shelves. This was at midday.

From witnessing that first-hand, I know that rhode's highly-anticipated launch into Mecca stores in February is going to be nothing short of… brutal.

The brand will be available online and in Mecca flagship stores George Street (Sydney) and Bourke Street (Melbourne) on Feb 12th, then in most other stores on Feb 13th.

You'll also be able to order all your glazing needs on the Australian rhode website from 6am on Feb 12th.

In saying that, I've now had a few months to try some of the most popular products aka. the rhode glazing milk, peptide treatment and pocket blush, and I'm here to help you prepare for exactly what to add to cart.

We have no time to muck around, people! Here are my honest thoughts.

My rhode Glazing Milk review.

The Glazing Milk was, of course, high on my hit-list when I joined the queue of girls that day. Shelves were bare and all I could get my hands on was the itsy-bitsy travel-sized bottle.

This will do, I thought naively. How good can it be? Well, I'm here to report that this product is the golden child for a reason.

I've tried dupes here in Australia with similar barrier-protective technology. To be honest, I didn't even quite know what my barrier was or that it even needed repairing at all. How wrong I was.

After a few days of trialling the milk, I went to a different store and picked up the full-size.

The product promises to provide all-day hydration, soothe irritated skin and reduce the appearance of redness. And for a pale, uneven, dry-skinned girly like me? It does exactly that.

I apply the glaze as a part of my morning skincare routine, not only to ration it, but also because I find it works best underneath a light moisturiser and promotes the glowiest makeup.

It offers an extra boost of hydration that your moisturiser can sometimes just not quite achieve and is super lightweight, so I never feel heavy or gluggy throughout the day.

Plus, a little really does go a long way given how light the product is. The consistency really is just like milk.

Like I said, I bought this in September and my bottle is still going strong, and I save the smaller size for trips away.

According to the rhode website, you'll be able to achieve your glazed donut dreams for $55 for a full-size bottle and $35 for the travel-size.

My rhode Peptide Lip Treatment review.

Naturally, I had to pick up the OG Peptide Lip Treatment. I got my hands on the unscented flavour, but I'm here to warn you now that the tinted treatments will be the first product to sell out.

Mentally prepare, it could be a few restocks until you get your hands on your favourite shade. Unscented, along with the strawberry glaze, were among the only ones left on the shelves the day after the launch. But are they worth the hype?

When the treatments had initially launched, HB received some feedback that the peptide formula was super grainy and off-putting, so this was in the back of my mind when I purchased it. I can confirm that this is no longer the case.

The treatment is quite thick and super nourishing, I find I don't have to reapply super often and my tube is almost done four months later. Now, that's bang for your buck.

The unscented flavour is just that, no weird smells or tastes and just overall a great darn lip balm, with a sleek and sexy applicator. I'll admit I went back for a second tube, so luckily I won't be battling for this one in February.

The Peptide Lip Treatments and Tints will be available for $35.

My rhode Pocket Blush review.

I'm a biiiig blush girly. Blush blindness? I probably have it. In fact, I welcome it.

I know I'm likely not alone when I say I'd watch Hailey's Instagram videos applying her 'tan lines' blush and yearn to try that creamy formula. So, when I saw a tiny little bottle waiting for me, I jumped at it.

I tried out the shade 'sleepy girl' and was immediately obsessed by just how cute it is! All of the rhode packaging feels great and looks just as good in your makeup bag.

The bottle may be 'pocket-sized' but it doesn't run out super quickly, which is good for us considering it may be impossible to restock given the hype.

Admittedly, I wasn't in love with it straight away.

I found I needed a lot of the product to produce a glow or any type of colour and it faded away into my skin after a while. I do think you could probably get dupes or an even better blush for a cheaper price.

But if you're still determined to try and want my advice? Do your research now to find the blush shade that is best suited to your skin.

I know it's tempting to reach for the 'tan lines' shade that Hailey so loudly swears by, but the truth is, we all have very different skin so to make the most of your Pocket Blush, pick one that suits you. I think this could have been my issue and one day might try a richer shade.

The rhode Pocket Blushes will be available in Mecca for $43.

What will I be adding to cart in February?

It's no secret that the Glazing Milk has found a permanent home on my bathroom shelf, so I will definitely be restocking. I want to give her a sister and also try the Glazing Mist for face refreshes before makeup or just throughout the day.

I'm not in a huge hurry to restock on the Pocket Blush (well, maybe a different shade if they don't sell out), but honestly my attention is mostly on the lip products in time for February.

My eye is on the prize and the prize is the Peptide Lip Tint in the shade 'salty tan'. I'd also love to try my hand at the rhode eye patches.

Needless to say, February 12th is going to be a very exciting (and very competitive) day.

Let's all take deep breaths while we can and I look forward to seeing everyone's beautiful, glowing faces on the other side.
