Reese Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, were arrested and jailed after they were pulled over under suspicion of drink driving in Atlanta.

Toth, 42, faces an drinking under the influence of alcohol charge after driving in the wrong lane while Witherspoon, 37, was handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct, according to the Atlanta Department of Corrections.

The According to the police report obtained by Variety, “Mrs. Witherspoon asked, ‘Do you know my name?’ I answered, ‘No, I don’t need to know your name.’ I then added, ‘right now.'”

“You’re about to find out who I am,” Witherspoon is quoted as saying.

“The actress also stated, ‘You are going to be on national news,’ I advised Mrs. Witherspoon that was fine,” the report continues.

The couple spent three hours behind bars and the CAA talent agent, who formerly managed Reese, posted bail of $US1,591.

Witherspoon is currently filming The Good Lie in Atlanta.
