Last week the internet blew up after currently pregnant Rebecca Judd (probably, maybe, didn’t) implied she regretted her naming her daughter Billie, when she found out she was expecting twin boys.
Today, the television presenter and model has lashed out at the claims with an Instagram post.

“Ummmm no,” Judd began her post, which she shared on her Instagram account today.
“This is the fifth ridiculous headline I’ve read about Billie’s name this week since I JOKED on Instagram that I should’ve called her a proper girls name when I found out I was having twin boys.”
The whispers that Judd regretted her only daughter’s name began when the 33-year-old posted a photo of her ultrasound to her Instagram and captioned it, “Jeepers- IDENTICAL twin boys. Shell shocked all over again. Wish we called Billie a proper girl’s name now.”

On reflection, Judd admits the latter sentence was all in jest.
“I love her name, would never change it and don’t regret it for a second,” Judd wrote, adding the name has been passed down through generations.
“She is named after her 95 year old [sic] great grandmother.”

Her twin sons will make a brood of four, with daughter Billie, 2 and older brother, Oscar, 4. What Judd’s comment did start, however, is a deeper conversation about baby name regret.
The question of name regret was posed on website, NameBerry and mothers from all around the world came to share their thoughts.
“I think name regret is normal,” an anonymous user wrote. “I regretted both of my children’s names after birth. I changed my daughter’s name from Millie to Sophia. I wish I didn’t.”

Judd, however, is adamant she doesn’t regret her daughter’s name.
“I now promise to be boring and never joke about anything ever again,” she writes, adding the hashtags #thatwasajoketoo #getasenseofhumour.
Note to self: never cross Rebecca Judd.
