Recently, the media’s royal coverage has been focused predominantly on the upcoming wedding between Prince Harry and former actress Meghan Markle.
But there are two members of the royal family a little put out by this shift in attention, and the monarchy’s youngest members would like to remind the world: They are the most important, plz.
Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2 – the children of Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge – are both in line to the throne but apparently have other ideas about “what they’d like to be when they grow up”.
“My daughter Charlotte loves dancing,” Prince William, 35, told Malta’s Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and his family during the Commonwealth Day reception on Monday, Hello Magazine reports.
Little Charlotte is also learning Spanish from her nanny, Maria Turrion Borrallo, People reports. And surely, a Spanish-speaking dancer is a perfect occupation for a princess who’s turning three in May.
And George? Well, he wants to be a police officer.
While chatting with PC Jayne Richardson at The Met Excellence Awards at Kensington Palace on Tuesday, Prince William talked about George’s obsession with everything police.
“He is obsessed, actually, by the police. The cars, the toys, everything,” Prince William said, People reports.
To which PC Richardson extended an invitation: “We are recruiting, actually so if George and Charlotte are keen?”
