The Royal Family, they’re trolling us certainly.

The whole world is waiting in anticipation for the name of the new royal baby, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William welcomed their third child on Monday.

There’s been lots of news about the weight of the baby boy – the Duchess’ heaviest yet – and the strange royal birthing traditions to which she’s had to adhere.

But no name.

Now Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, has given the public a very, very obscure hint while joining Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at an Anzac Day service in London on Wednesday.

He said they’re planning to give their son a “strong name”.

As Prince William met Sir Jerry Mateparae, New Zealand High Commissioner to the UK in Westminster Abbey, the Dean of Westminster joked about the eagerly anticipated name, saying: “Jerry would like it to be Jerry.”

Prince William replied: “Jerry’s a strong name.”

When asked how the Duchess and the baby were, the Duke replied: “They’re very well thanks.”

He said they are “in good form, luckily”, and added: “Sleeping’s going reasonably well so far, so he’s behaving himself which is good news.”

According to AAP, Prince William and Kate Middleton will want to share the name with the Queen and the rest of their family before making it public.

Kensington Palace said it would be announced in “due course”.

As Prince William chatted to the Australian High Commissioner, Alexander Downer, at Westminster Abbey, Downer asked: “Have you thought of the name Alexander for him?”

The duke replied: “Well, it’s funny you should say that. It’s a good name.”

The baby, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child, was born on Monday at 11.01am local time weighing 8lb 7oz.
