'Men pay me to pretend I'm pregnant with their child. It's earned me six figures.'

"Role play giving birth."

"Spontaneously fall pregnant from eating."

"Pretend you're pregnant with my child."

These are just some of the baffling requests Emily Mai's inbox is flooded with every day.

When Emily first made the shift from stripping to OnlyFans, she was prepared for a lot — but she never, ever expected a niche full of pregnancy requests would be the key to a six-figure career.

But lo and behold, the people love the belly.

"I had a lot of people who wanted me to role-play being their pregnant partner and role play giving birth," Emily told Mamamia.

"They loved watching me tense my belly because I was 'contracting'."

Others were fixated on Emily "spontaneously" becoming pregnant by eating.

Emily attracted clients excited by bellies and "eating content", where she'd show off how "full" she was getting.

"I have had guys do video calls with me, and I'm just sitting there breathing and just rubbing my belly, and they're loving it," she said.

The requests also exposed a desire for the taboo.

"They'll ask, 'Oh, do you have a partner? Does he get mad at you? Does he like this?' You can tell by the way they're asking, they're not just curious about my life — they're getting off on it," Emily said.

Even more unique? Lactation content.

"Licking my nipples, sucking my nipples, spraying my milk… It's not in an 'Oh, you're my baby' way, but a 'mummy, dom' way".

The whole thing is undoubtedly a weird gig. But for mum-of-two Emily, it's a game-changer. It provides the money, flexibility and autonomy she demands.

She had spent years working as a stripper.

"There's no such thing as a pregnancy stripper at the clubs.
So I just had to kind of think about what would I do after this," Emily said.

The move to OnlyFans was purely about securing a flexible income and control.

"When I got pregnant, I did freak out a little bit because I was just like, 'S**t, what's gonna happen to my fan base?'"

Little did she know, she was about to hit a goldmine. Her actual life became her most lucrative niche.

As Emily's belly grew, pregnancy fans found her and "the money really changed."

While navigating the exhausting reality of actual pregnancy, Emily was simultaneously making more money than ever by monetising the fantasy of it.

In fact, her pregnancy content became so in demand that she even had to buy a fake belly to keep up with customer requests after she'd actually given birth.

The career move set Emily up for financial success, but it wasn't without its challenges. The backlash arrived swiftly, often from the people closest to her.

"Some of my family don't want to talk about it because being raised Asian in a very conservative household," Emily said.

"There are definitely family members where they know what I do, but we pretend I don't do what I do."

Strangers always have an opinion, but to Emily, the job is worth every uncomfortable conversation.

"Being an OnlyFans creator and a mum has been one of the best decisions I've made, because I'm available for everything," Emily said.

"All the pickups, all the drop-offs, all the extracurricular activities. I just work when my kids aren't around… so I just have all this time to be around my kids and just watch them grow up."

But there is one group of people Emily is nervous to tell: other mums.

"Initially, I had some mums who were very vocal, who found out what I did,' Emily said. "They basically shut me and my kids out."

The exclusion was extreme.

"They were like, 'We don't we don't want anything to do with you'," Emily said.

That moment forced Emily to face her choices.

She questioned: "Am I doing the right thing or not? Should I stop doing this?"

But she came back to her core truth: "I really enjoy doing this. I'm keeping my kids safe, and it's giving me so much time with my kids."

Now, she keeps stricter boundaries with new parents she meets.

"I'm not as I'm not as open with what I do for work because I'm just trying to keep my kids' relationships with their kids safe," Emily said.

As for the online critics who message her saying, "Your kids are going to get bullied for this," Emily doesn't try to shield them from reality.

"I can't really control whether my kids come across a negative person… but what I can do is equip them with the knowledge of how to deal with people," she said.

It's the perfect counter to the stigma she faces.

"When people see an OnlyFans creator they're like, 'Oh, nobody's going to want you… because you've shown yourself to the world for $5'," Emily said.

"But we're so much more than a photo or a video on the internet… We are multifaceted."

The only difference, she insists, comes down to one thing: money.

"We've just decided to monetise that photo that the guys on Tinder are asking for free. And immediately the moment we ask for the money, the guys are like, 'Oh, no one's going to want you now.'

"Whereas really, they're just saying that because they just want everything for free."
