1. Post mortem on body of Stephanie Scott today.

A post mortem will take place today on the body of popular school teacher, Stephanie Scott who was murdered on Easter Sunday and whose burnt body was found on Friday night.

A 24-year old cleaner at the school where she worked in the NSW town of Leeton Vincent Stanford has been charged with her murder.

The mother and brother of Vincent Stanford are said to be assisting police in their investigation into the murder of Stephanie Scott.

Fairfax Media reports that while Vincent Stanford is said to be un-cooperative his mother, Anika, and older brother, Luke, have spent “countless hours” assisting investigators.

2. Hillary Clinton has officially announced her White House bid.

The former first lady, and Secretary of State is in the running to be America’s next President of the United States.

Overnight the news first came that Hillary Clinton had officially declared she will run for President of the United States  via an email from John Podesta, a top Clinton advisor and a loyalist.

CNBC reports that Podesta’s email went to Democratic supporters saying”I wanted to make sure you heard it first from me – it’s official: Hillary’s running for president.”

She then released a video message titled “Getting Started” which showed American families – including a same sex couple, and mothers returning to work .

She said “Every day Americans need a champion and I want to be that champion.”

I am hitting the road to get your vote. It is your time and I hope you will join me on that journey.”

3.  Julie Hutchinson: Husband arrested as homicide police investigate disappearance of Townsville woman.

Michael Hutchinson, 47, has been arrested over the suspicious disappearance of his wife in north Queensland.

Julie Hutchinson was reported missing from a Townsville property on April 9.

Police launched a homicide investigation into her disappearance on Sunday afternoon.

The 48-year-old mother of two was last seen at a residence in Chelsea Drive on March 7 – almost a month before being reported missing by her sister.

At a press conference, police said Ms Hutchinson’s house was declared a crime scene late on Saturday when information came to hand suggesting they were dealing with a homicide.

Forensic police were spotted combing the property on Sunday afternoon and a family car has been seized.

Police said Ms Hutchinson’s husband was in custody and assisting police with their inquiries.

No charges have been laid.

Ms Hutchinson was a long-term employee of Queensland Nickel, owned by Clive Palmer.

Her husband works in security.

Neighbours described the couple as nice, quiet people who kept to themselves.

They have lived in the area for about a decade.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Ms Hutchinson or the vehicle that she may have been driving, a 2004 silver Mazda 6 sedan with Queensland registration 622 HZE, since early March to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The vehicle may have at some stage been in a remote area of Townsville, called Hervey’s Range according to police.

Investigations will continue as police try to locate Ms Hutchinson’s body.

4. Nine-year old Islamic State sex slave pregnant.

The Toronto Star reports that a nine-year old girl who was being kept by Islamic State as a sex slave is pregnant after being gang-raped by 10 Islamic State militants in Iraq.

“The abuse she has suffered left her mentally and physically traumatised,” Canadian-based aid worker Yousif Daoud told The Toronto Star.

“This girl is so young she could die if she delivers a baby. Even caesarean section is dangerous.”

The aid worker said that the girl was given to the men as a “reward.”

He said that she “was sexually abused by no fewer than 10 men. Most of them were front-line fighters or suicide bombers who are given girls as a reward. She was in very bad shape.”

5. Voters concerned about economic climate.

A Fairfax/Ipsos poll out today shows that voters are not convinced either the PM or the Treasurer can lead the country to economic security.

The opposition leads on two-party-preferred voting with 54 per cent to the Coalitions 46 per cent.

The PM’s approval rating is now minus-26 percent up 2 points from March.

The poll showed that 6 out of 10 voters (58 per cent) want the budget deficit addressed as a “high priority”

37 per cent of voters say they support an increase to the rate of the GST.

The Treasurer Joe Hockey has seen a 45 per cent reversal in his approval rating over the last 13 months from plus 20 per cent in March 2014 to minus 25 now.

The Fairfax poll shows that despite that voters still say the Coalition is the better economic manager at 41 per cent to Labor’s 32 per cent.

6. Western Bulldogs supporter evicted from MCG for homophobic remark.

The Western Bulldogs have confirmed they are investigating a cheersquad member who was evicted from the MCG on Saturday for allegedly making homophobic remarks.

A Tigers player raised the matter with security who ejected the patron from the stadium.

A Bulldogs spokesman told Fairfax Media:

“The club has a code of conduct established for its members, which prohibits such behaviour  and it expects all Western Bulldogs members and fans abide by the principles stated in that code, as a condition of membership,”

7. Boy, 2, falls into Cheetah exhibit at zoo.

Parents of a two-year old boy in the US city of Cleveland may face child endangerment charges after their son fell into a cheetah exhibit on the weekend.

USA Today reports that the little boy was being held by his mother, along with another child over the rail when he fell in.

His parents jumped in after him and rescued him. Zoo officials said the animals were scared by the noise and the luckily for the boy the fastest animal in the world stayed away.

“Unfortunately, we have a number of eyewitness accounts that point to the strong likelihood that the child was dangled over the rail,” Dr. Christopher Kuhar, executive director of the zoo, told CNN.

8. Germanwings plane evacuated after bomb threat.

A Germanwings plane headed for Milan has been evacuated at Cologne-Bonn airport after German police received a bomb threat against the flight.

The airline said the threat against flight 826 was received by police this evening. The passengers and crew were taken off the aircraft and a search is underway of the plane.

9. Hobart airport website hacked with ‘pro-Islamic militant messages’

The Hobart International Airport website has been disabled after being hacked and defaced with “pro-Islamic militant messages”.

The website was hacked at about 3:00am and was taken offline three hours later.

Tasmania Police are investigating and the airport’s website security is being reviewed.

Airport operations were not affected.

In a statement, the airport’s operators said website security was being reviewed with its IT service providers.

The operators would not detail the content of the messages.

“Website defacing is a type of attack on a website that changes the visual appearance of a website,” the statement read.

“The airport website was defaced with pro-Islamic militant messages.”

In a brief statement, a State Government spokeswoman said policing for Hobart airport remained the responsibility of Tasmania Police.

She said the Government had expressed disappointment over the removal of Australian Federal Police officers, but had full confidence in Tasmania Police.

AFP officers have not been stationed at the airport since last November.

Passengers seeking information about flights were advised to check with relevant airlines.

10. 65-year old woman due to give birth to quads.

A 65-year-old German schoolteacher is 21-weeks pregnant with quads, which will make her the oldest recorded woman in the world ever to give birth to quadruplets.

Her latest pregnancy was the result of artificial insemination using both donated sperm and eggs.

Ms Raunigk is an English and Russian teacher who said she was “still quite fit” and was capable of looking after them.

She made headlines at the age of 55, when she had her daughter Leila.

11. Anger as Facebook removes pics of a baby without a nose.

The mother of a newborn baby born without a nose has slammed Facebook after images of her son were removed.

Timothy Eli Thompson was born in the US on March 4 without any nasal passages or sinus cavities.

At the time his mum said she never knew he had a problem.

“I never expected anything to be wrong with him, every ultrasound I ever had came back normal, so I was expecting a perfectly healthy baby boy, but to my surprise Eli was born without a nose.  My doctor told me it was a 1 in 10 billion chance of this happening.”

His mother Brandi McGlathery started a GoFundMe page to help with his medical costs, but after being shared to Facebook the post was removed.

Brandi McGlathery said it was a pro-life group who tried to use the post to promote Eli’s story.

She told WKRG “I posted the status with a link about it saying no one’s going to keep me from posting photos of my child. If I can see completely distasteful things on Facebook all day long, then I can post a picture of my son,” says Brandi.

The story was shared 30,000 times in six hours.

“A friend of ours told us that the reason they were banning him was because he broke the internet! He was everywhere and he broke the internet!”she said.

Facebook then reversed their decision.

12. Warwick man remanded in custody over 145 child sex charges for exploitation of 28 children.

A 47-year-old man has been remanded in custody over charges including the exploitation or rape of 28 children.

Police allege the man, from Warwick on Queensland’s Southern Darling Downs, used social media websites to target children under the age of 16 using several usernames, including Jazz, Jazzman and David Bourne.

They said he coerced victims to send indecent images and in some cases met them in a hotel room where they were indecently assaulted.

He has been charged with 145 charges that span a period from 2002 to 2015, including five counts of rape, four counts of indecent treatment of children under 16, and 20 counts of involving children in making child exploitation material.

Some of the alleged victims targeted were from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, with police believing there may also be other victims as far away as Western Australia.

Other charges include eight counts of grooming a child under 16 with intent to procure engagement in a sexual act, 11 counts of making child exploitation material, two counts of making child abuse film, and one count of distribution child exploitation material.

The man did not appear at a hearing in the Warwick Magistrates Court today, with the matter adjourned until July 20.
