A German police officer found a unique way of soothing a baby after it became trapped in a car.
Police in Offenbach were called to a scene on Tuesday, where a mother had accidentally locked her child and keys in a car.
The mother was retrieving something from the boot when the driver’s door closed, locking her out of the car – with her baby strapped in a car seat inside.
By the time the police arrived, the baby was distressed and screaming.
A quick-thinking officer rocked the car and eventually got the baby to sleep – while they waited for further assistance.
The police report said “unconventional measures” were taken.
