As a busy parent, it sometimes feels overwhelming to do all the things we need to do each day, as well as have quality time to play with our kids.
But whether you get dressed up for a teddy bear's tea party, build giant LEGO towers, or dust off that heirloom jigsaw puzzle, playing can actually be lots of fun for us adults too.
Mamamia heard from 15 parents on the cute and creative ways they connect and play with their big and little kids.
Watch: The horoscopes as new mums. Post continues below.
Here's what they had to say:
1. "My twins are almost two and we play lots of hide and seek, DUPLO, and building blocks. Also, they’ve just started saying their first sentence, 'I see it', so we spend all day playing an 'I see it' game!" - Angela.
2. "I like a dark dance party with my three kids aged five, three, and 16 months old. We switch all the lights off and dance to our current favourite, which is the soundtrack from In the Heights. We also do craft and use play dough, we play the piano together, and we build things. I’m an early childhood teacher so it’s my thing, but I also let my kids go off and play with each other a lot." - Brodie.
