1. The dark place Australian Idol’s Paulini went to after her bribery charges.

In December of 2017, former Australian Idol contestant, Paulini Curuenavuli narrowly avoided jail time after she pleaded guilty to bribing a governmental official in an attempt to unlawfully obtain a driver’s licence.

The singer had paid a RMS customer service representative $850 for an unrestricted NSW licence. During her court proceedings it was revealed by a magistrate that Paulini also had a number of other traffic infringements.

Now, nearly a year on from the controversy, Paulini is ready to speak about that emotionally “tough” time, sharing details of her emotionally turbulent 2017 with Confidential.

“There were times when I was like ‘oh my gosh’ … I didn’t want to get out of bed. But you just have to kind of fight through all the doubts,” she said, speaking about her leading role in the musical, The Bodyguard – a role once played by the late Whitney Houston.

“You get thoughts in your head and kind of go, ‘how am I going to perform tonight’, but you just get up there and do it.

“Last year was a tough year, but you make mistakes and you move on. Was I just going to stay down there, or keep moving forward?”

And it looks like she chose the latter option.

Paulini is currently set to star in the famed disco musical Saturday Night Fever, alongside X-Factor alum Natalie Conway and musical theatre performer Nana Matapule.

The show is set to debut at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre from March 29 and tickets are available now.

2. Just a series of adorable photos of David Beckham cuddling Aussie animals.

Very important news. David Beckham – and his wife, Victoria Beckham, and children, Cruz Beckham and Romeo Beckham – are in Sydney and they’re schmoozing with our local Australian wildlife.

Together, the family spent the day at Sydney Wildlife Park and we have never been so jealous of a kangaroo.

3. Karl Stefanovic and fiance Jasmine Yarbrough are getting a dog together.

There's a new addition coming to Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough's household – but it's not what you might think.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Yarbrough shared that the couple's new addition is a German Shepherd puppy – and it's got the best name ever.

The couple have taken inspiration from American rapper 'Chance the Rapper', naming their new addition 'Chance the Yapper'. Amazing.

"We are so excited to bring our new little puppy home this weekend," the 34-year-old said.

"Both Karl and I have grown up with German Shepherds and can't wait to welcome our newest member of the family, Chance the Yapper."

Speaking on the Today show this morning, Stefanovic shared that he wasn't originally keen on getting a dog.

"I wasn't going to [get another dog] because I had a bit of an emotional experience when I was a kid," he explained.

"We had this German Shepherd for 15 years, Rocky, and he passed away and it was very sad. I vowed that I would never ever get another dog."

4. IT’S HAPPENING: The accidental leak that confirms the Spice Girls reunion is days away.

After MONTHS of constant rumours, it seems we might finally have answers about the long-awaited Spice Girls reunion.

And it's all thanks to an accidental leak.

The line-up for the November 10 episode of UK talk show The Jonathon Ross Show has been released, and it features four-out-of-five Spice Girls members.

"This week on The Jonathon Ross Show, in a TV exclusive, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Geri Horner will be chatting together on the sofa," the blurb states.

Um, yes please.

Although the leak didn't mention Victoria Beckham, it's safe to say fans were still stoked with the news.

5. Bachie contestants Charlie and Dasha are definitely dating and we have the proof.

Ummm... so we just got the biggest Bachelorette spoiler that we most definitely did not ask for.

It looks like frontrunner Charlie Newling and The Bachelor’s Dasha Gaivoronski are definitely dating.

Although we’ve seen reports of the two going on dates and cute walks on the beach, it was Dasha’s Instagram Q&A session that more or less confirmed things. The ex-Bachelor contestant asked her followers to ask her questions, sharing her answers on Instagram Stories, and it wasn’t long before a familiar face popped up.

Asking a question, Charlie wrote: “What’s with you and that hot amazing guy that your dating? You two look incredible together”.

And Dasha's answer was certainly very telling indeed.
