Pauline Hanson has celebrated turning 60, with a haircut, fillers and Botox.

Happy birthday, Ms One Nation.

Here’s Pauline Hanson before…

And after…

Speaking on Sunrise today, the former politician, Dancing with the Stars dancer and Celebrity Apprentice contestant, said that she made the decision to cosmetically enhance herself just before her 60th birthday.

The former One Nation leader – a party that espoused a conservative and anti-multiculturalism platform – said that, “I feel good about it, I always thought to myself I would never bother with Botox.”

Hanson, who spent three months in prison in 2003 on charges of fraud, also revealed that she didn’t even know what some of the procedures were, until she decided to get them.

“The man said: ‘You can have Botox and fillers’ and I said: ‘What’s fillers?’ So I had no idea,” she told the hosts of Sunrise.

The makeover – a birthday gift from Woman’s Day – cost $5000 and took 48 hours. As well as Botox and fillers, Pauline Hanson had her teeth whitened and ‘platelet rich plasma therapy’ (which involved taking blood and then reinjecting it in order to promote skin cell growth) and eyelash and eyebrow enhancements. Her famous red hair is now gone, and Hanson is sporting a dark brown pixie cut.

Hanson also told the hosts of Sunrise that, despite hating needles, she would still recommend Botox and fillers to other women.

“It was a little bit painful but it was a lovely experience and I am pleased I had it done. I would encourage a lot of other women if you are not happy about a couple of things about you.”

Hanson, who is almost as well known for red hair as she is for her controversial ideas about immigration policy, also said that having brunette hair was a big change.

She told Sam Armytage on Sunrise, “It’s so different and my partner [Mark] hasn’t seen me so, if you are watching: ‘Hi honey how are you?’”

Hanson, who has criticised government assistance being provided to Indigenous Australians, continued, “It is a big change. My kids are saying: ‘Oh my God, where’s Mum?’ And they have noticed a big difference.”

She’s clearly happy with the results, and told Woman’s Day: “This is the best birthday present I could’ve asked for.”

“Everyone was telling me to have a big party for my 60th… I didn’t want anything. But you know, I feel incredible. This couldn’t be more perfect.”
