Well, this is… baffling.
An anti same-sex marriage pamphlet is using Paul Walker’s death to encourage people to vote No in the Australian same sex marriage postal survey.
Yep, you read right. The tragic death of Paul Walker, who was just 40 years old when he died in car crash in 2013, has somehow been linked to the marriage equality debate.
A Twitter user posted a photo of the pamphlet online, which he says his friend received in the mail.
The pamphlet comes from a website called “Amazing Facts” where you can enter your details to be sent one free copy, or, if one copy isn’t enough (it’s more than enough), you can purchase some additional copies.
The first three pages of the pamphlet go into detail about Walker’s death before drawing a baffling comparison between this and the same sex marriage debate in Australia.
Walker was killed when the car he was a passenger in – a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT – crashed while performing high-speed maneuvers in the streets of Santa Clarita, California.
my mate received this utterly baffling anti-SSM pamphlet in the mail today. It opens with 3 pages about Paul Walker’s fatal car crash. pic.twitter.com/vbAKJgZnl4
