I'm an Entertainment Editor with the kind of screen time that would make you shudder. And yet, figuring out what to watch can sometimes feel like the bane of my existence.

It's not because there's not enough content out there — oh no. But considering the vast array of incredible new series, movies and documentaries launching at lightspeed, it can be tough to decide what to watch when you finally settle onto the couch for the evening.

So, I'm committed to spending even more of my screen time figuring out the very best things to watch each and every week. And so many of them are available to stream on Paramount+.

Not only that, but the streaming service boasts an impressive back catalogue of must-watch favourites and iconic movies everyone should watch at least once (or, like me, four times).

If you're not sure what to watch, look no further. Here are the five best TV shows and movies to watch this month.

Yellowjackets, Season 3

If you're not across the world of Yellowjackets, allow me to acquaint you with the wildest soccer team of all time.

Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, Yellowjackets follows a New Jersey high school girls' soccer team after their plane crashes in the wilderness in 1996. Split across two timelines, the show explores the harrowing experience of their 19-month stay in the wild and their lives 25 years later, in 2021.

The show expertly casts talented actors across both generations, who will have you convinced they're literally one and the same. Younger actors like Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Ella Purnell and Courtney Eaton portray the teenage survivors, and adult actors including Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis and Christina Ricci play their older counterparts.

Now, Yellowjackets is back for its third season. And the new season is bringing double the drama across both timelines — we're talking present day survivors being hunted (again, because apparently once wasn't enough), while our favourite teenage soccer team continues their fight for survival in the wilderness.

Between the eerie new teaser telling us to "eat your heart out" and the promise of more shocking revelations, this is exactly the kind of deliciously dark content we've been craving.

1923, Season 2

Everyone and their mother — quite literally, my mother — is into the Yellowstone universe created by Taylor Sheridan. And if they're not, they should be.

The 1923 spinoff premiered in 2022 and introduced fans to the ancestors of the Dutton family who lived and worked the land on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.

And this year, the family are back as the highly anticipated second season of 1923 has finally hit our screens. If you thought the first season was intense, you might want to buckle up (and maybe grab a wine).

Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are returning as Jacob and Cara Dutton, with the new season promising to be an edge-of-your-seat affair as they face their toughest winter yet at the ranch. Meanwhile, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) is racing against time to get back to Montana to save his family, while his love Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) is crossing oceans trying to find him.

If you're not an existing fan of the Yellowstone universe, let me assure you that 1923 can stand on its own as a gripping western drama. You can pick up Season 1 and enjoy the show just as much as the hardcore fans.

Show me Michelle Yeoh, and I'm ready to have a good time. The iconic actress is starring in an exciting new chapter of the Star Trek franchise, Star Trek: Section 31.

The Academy Award-winning actress is reprising her fan-favourite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, who she first played in Star Trek: Discovery in the new film Star Trek: Section 31.

In the new film, Georgiou joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.

The Agency, Paramount+'s compelling new adaptation of the French hit Le Bureau des Légendes, brings together an exceptional ensemble cast led by Michael Fassbender. This sophisticated spy thriller delivers a fresh perspective on the genre, blending high-stakes espionage with deeply personal storytelling.

The series features an impressive lineup of talent, with Fassbender starring alongside Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston and screen legend Richard Gere.

The Agency follows Martian (Fassbender), a CIA operative whose carefully constructed undercover life is upended when he's ordered to return to London Station. What could have been a straightforward homecoming becomes increasingly complex when he encounters a past love, setting off a chain of events that puts everything at risk. With this calibre of cast, it's absolutely one to add to your watchlist.
