A true professional is always on the job.
A paramedic has shown just how dedicated she is to her profession when she stopped in her wedding dress to attend the scene of a crash.
Sarah Ray, a paramedic from Tennessee, in the US, had just exchanged her vows with her now-husband Paul when she received a call that her grandparents and father had been in a car accident on their way to her reception.
So, the bride and groom, both paramedics, sprung into action.
A photo taken of Sarah holding up her wedding gown rushing to the assistance of those who needed her was shared on the Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services Facebook page and it has now gone viral.
With good reason.
“How dedicated are you to your job? Sarah Ray, Paramedic with Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services, was photographed on her wedding night working the wreck of one of her wedding guests. Now that’s dedication…she stopped to assist on the way from the wedding to the reception! Thank you, Sarah, for loving what you do!” it read.
She told News Channel 5 that a driver ran a red light and slammed into the family’s vehicle.
“My family comes in from out of town and this had to happened,” Ray said. “I was scared on the way there.”
She said for her and her husband there was no other option but to attend to the scene, especially since it involved family.
