You guys. You asked for Open Post to return – a chance to talk about ANYTHING in the comments – and so here we are. I forget why we stopped publishing it each Wednesday. We thought you were sick of it. That you’d moved on. Found other posts to love.
But in our recent hap-hazard survey where we asked for what you wanted to see here in 2013, there was a lot of fond reminiscing about Open Post and many requests for a comeback.
I’ve been in Melbourne this week with MM’s Managing Editor Jamila, doing some presentations at media agencies.
In between meetings, Jam and I nicked out onto the balcony at Austereo (where we went for a meeting with the Mamamia Today show team) and recorded a quick podcast. Unlike our first attempt which was a bit stiff and – frankly – boring (look, it was about sport. Enough said) this one is going to be a little looser and I think that’s the format we’ll take moving forward.
We should be posting it here tomorrow or Friday so remember to check back.
On Monday night, I caught up with one of my closest friends – Wendy Squires – who moved to Melbourne a year or so ago and who I miss dearly. We went to one of my favourite restaurants, Cafe e Cucina on Chapel st and had delicious calamari and pasta and wine and I don’t think I paused for breath in 3 hours. We hadn’t seen each other in months and there was a lot to catch up on.
