Older than 22? Men no longer find you attractive. 'Data' says so.

According to some very legitimate sciencey-science data, woman are officially over-the-hill at 22. DUNZO. Fin. All over red rover. Pack it up and CLOSE YOUR LEGS. Etc etc etc.

Well, maybe. The legitimate sciency-science data comes from a new book called Dataclysm, written by the president and co-founder of dating site OKCupid. So the ‘legitimate’ part of that claim may not be so… legitimate.

Or maybe it is. Who knows. Let’s just hope that it’s not, because this ‘data’ is fucking depressing.

Basically, Christian Rudder took all the info his site has collected from its online daters, and mooshed it all together in some kind of sciencey way that explains what men and women ‘really’ think. He pretty much just looked at what type of profiles everyone on OKCupid clicks on and made some broad assumptions about humainity based on those clicks.

These two graphs are getting the most attention. They demonstrate what age of women men find most attractive throughout thier lives, versus what age of men women find most attractive throughout their lives:

Yep. The optimum attractive-level for ladies never goes above 24, as far as OKCupid men are concerned. Whereas women tend to be interested in men closer to thier age all the way through:

So. Do with this information what you will. It is based off a dating website so… You know. Grain of salt and all that.
