Kim Kardashian posted an adorable photo of baby North West in the bathtub. Because bath time fun is the best time fun.
The photo is up to 1.2 million likes now, which is not surprising. The photo is of gorgeous baby North having a whale of a time, and who can resist laughing babies?
But some people are not happy with Kim.
“I think a nude picture of your daughter on IG is completely inappropriate. Keep bathroom and bathtub pics PRIVATE.”
“This is child pornography.”
“Hmmmm maybe if you were a BETTER parent you wouldn’t be BARREN.”
“Like mother like daughter.”
“I would be embarrassed of you if you were the woman I had to call my mom!!!”
Wait, what?
Am I missing something here? Because I am not seeing what they are seeing.
North West is probably the third most well-known baby in the world right now, after George and Charlotte. She is, for better or worse, going to grow up firmly in the spotlight.
But, she is still a normal child, and to a certain extent her parents are normal parents.
Who doesn’t have photos of their kids in the bath tub? For that matter, who doesn’t have photos of themselves as babies in the bath tub at home in the family album?
No one.
Because laughing, sudsy, bath tub babies are too cute for words.

I don’t have a photo album. I keep meaning to make one of my kids, you know, for posterity. It seems like a nice thing to do. My parents had one each for my siblings and I. (And yes, they absolutely included naked bathtub photos.) It feels like a thing mothers ‘should’ do.
