Fact: Every celebrity (and their lips) is obsessed with Nina Park right now.

The New York-based makeup artist is arguably the most in demand — and the busiest — MUA on the planet, creating looks for Zoë Kravitz, Greta Lee, Lily-Rose Depp, Kaia Gerber, Charli XCX, Mia Goth, Hailey Bieber and Margaret Qualley.

Her most recent work? Emma Stone and Jessie Buckley at the 2026 Golden Globes.

Everything about the Nina Park makeup aesthetic is cool: Korean beauty-esque flawless skin, dewy cool-toned blushes, fluttery lashes, lots of black eyeliner, and 'tight lining' (that's lining the inside of your eye!).

But it's the Nina Park lip that has my algorithm in a chokehold. It's blurred, voluminous, a bit 90s and very kissable.

Mamamia.

I decided to give the Nina Park lip trend a try to see if it translates in real life (i.e. not on a red carpet or Instagram).

Turns out, there's more to it than I expected…

My Nina Park makeup tutorial.

You'll need:

  • A matte cream contour or bronzer

  • A small, round eyeliner blending brush (like an eyeshadow brush, but smaller)

  • A cool-toned brown lip liner

  • A rose lip liner

  • A berry lip stain + gloss OR a creamy satin-finish lipstick

For this tutorial, I used:

How to do the Nina Park lip.

The Nina Park lip trend is one of those 'trust the process' makeup tutorials.

You'll see a visual of what each step looks like below, but here's the step-by-step instructions:

Step 1. Take some cream contour on your small blending brush and apply the product above (and all around) the edges of your natural lip line using small, circular motions.

This will create a 'shadow' effect to give the illusion of more depth and volume.

Step 2. Overline your lips using your brown lip liner, applying the product just above your natural lip line.

Blend any harsh lines using the same small brush for a diffused look.

It's giving 'concealer lips'. Image: Supplied.

Step 3. Use your rose or pink lip liner to line and fill in your top and bottom lips, focusing the colour in the centre of the lips.

Step 4. Apply your berry lip tint or lipstick shade (followed by a bad of gloss if you like) to the centre of the lips.

Final verdict on the Nina Park lip…

Requiring six different products and a good five minutes, let's not pretend this is a lowkey lip look.

But I've got to admit… it looks really good, no?

Is it as effortless as it looks on Instagram? Absolutely not. Does it remind me of my summertime upper lip pigmentation? A little.

But if you've got a special event coming up — or you just love playing with makeup — the Nina Park lip is a great time.
