September has officially sprung, and ngl, my skin is having a bit of a hectic time.

One minute it's clinging to the last bouts of winter dryness, the next it's producing enough oil to make hot chips.

It's a confusing time okay?

This month, the Mamamia team has been navigating this seasonal identity crisis with a whole new arsenal of products. We've been slathering, blotting and spritzing our way through spring.

Here are the products that got us through the confusing, chaotic, rainy and yet also occasionally sunny month of September.

MECCA MAX Life Proof Setting Spray, $20-$26.

"With the weather getting warmer, my face has a tendency to slide off by lunchtime. I needed something with industrial-strength holding power, and this is it. It mists out finely so you don't feel like you're hosing yourself down, and it locks everything in place without feeling stiff or sticky. My makeup has survived sweaty commutes to work, awkward face-to-chest hugs, and a particularly emotional viewing of The final TSITP epsisode." — Em Vernem, Associate Editor & Host.

Peppr Sculpt+Stain Lip Marker, $34.

"My new favourite product is the Peppr Lip Stain – I have it in three colours and I am literally obsessed and will never use a normal lip liner again. Peppr is a lip liner stain that you outline and sculpt your lips with, similar to a lip liner, but it will stay on for so long.

I have worn it around the office for the past two weeks, and every second person will stop and ask what lip product I am wearing... so much so we just placed an order for nine of the Peppr products for all the girls. I will never leave the house without it now as it makes you look put together with minimal effort." — Anna, Sales manager.

The Ordinary Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm, $13.60.

"I've been dipping back into my The Ordinary stash lately after being v impressed with their new lip serum launch. I remember my co-worker and Mamamia's Beauty & Lifestyle Editor Erin Docherty loved this balm so I decided to give it a go.

It's no-frills, has zero scent, and just does a brilliant job of hydrating my perpetually chapped (sorry, TMI) lips without any fuss. It creates a smooth base for lipstick but is also heavy-duty enough to wear overnight as a treatment." — Em Vernem, Associate Editor & Host.

VIOLETTE_FR Bisou Balm in 'Guimauve', $50.

"I'm obsessed with this lipstick. It's a moisturising matte lipstick, so it doesn't feel too heavy. This is the second shade I've bought, because I was after an orange(ish) shade after Taylor Swift's album announcement. It's not too intense." — Raffaella, News & Weekend Editor.

It's the perfect treatment after spending a day out in the sun AND it works as a glowy fix after I apply my makeup. A win-win." — Em Vernem, Associate Editor & Host.

Sundae Mood Board Body Mist, $25.

"Body mists give me intense flashbacks to my Year 8 PE change room, but I'm officially back on board. Sometimes you just want to smell nice without committing to a full-on $200 perfume, you know? This one is light, fresh, and perfect for a post-shower spritz or a midday refresh at my desk (where it lives). It smells clean and comforting and doesn't give anyone within a five-metre radius a headache. A win." — Em Vernem, Associate Editor & Host.

It's around $20 and is meant to be a dupe and smells the exact same as Byredo's Bibliotheque perfume!" — Sophie, Podcast Producer.

I've long been a big advocate of the Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum, so I loved being able to try the Divine Cream and the Pro-Firming Serum, but the Immortelle Reset Tri-phase was my top pick of the products I tried. — Nat Harvey, CEO.

"My skin has been having a ~~moment~~ lately and I've needed to swap to some more gentle products to help calm it down, and the KOTIA Exfoliating Cleansing Milk was just the thing. Its ACB Fruit Mix gently buffs away dead skin while still keeping my face feeling calm and hydrated. The secret ingredient? Deer Milk. Yes, really.

With unique peptides capable of enhancing cell activity, it lends just enough soothing richness to balance out the exfoliation. Honestly, it's now a go-to when I need something that gets the job done without freaking out my skin." — Jess Clark, Managing Editor.
