Ladies and gentlemen,
We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of 11 Netflix original shows.
One minute they were here, making us laugh and cry and eat copious amounts of chips… and the next minute they were gone.
But we will not remember them as the over-budget, possible flops that they were… oh no… we will look back fondly at the hours we spent in front of the TV watching them and eating said chips.
Now let’s take a moment’s silence to remember the following:
Love
Cancelled after three seasons, Love is the show about two annoying millennials trying not to fall in love with each other.
It was quite cute but also… annoying. The final season of Love will be released in 2018.
LISTEN: Clare Stephens and Laura Brodnik discuss all the shows that will and won’t be returning in 2018. Post continues after audio…
The oddball comedy, Haters Back Off!, has been canned after just two seasons.
The series, which is based on YouTube personality Colleen Ballinger’s character Miranda Sings, got off to a solid start on Netflix but in the end it just didn’t bring in big viewer numbers.
House of Cards
This lil’ cancellation probably needs no explanation.
But in case you missed it, Netflix decided to discontinue House of Cards after its star, Kevin Spacey, was accused of sexual harassment.
The final season of House of Cards, airing in 2018, will focus on Robin Wright’s character of President Claire Underwood.
Chelsea
Comedian Chelsea Handler’s original talk show has been cancelled after two seasons.
Gypsy
This will come as no surprise to anyone who tried to sit through it – but Gypsy has been cancelled after just one season.
