The one glaring mistake in Netflix's new Christmas-action film.

When it comes to Christmas, Netflix is the gift that just keeps on giving.

With the array of fun Christmas rom-coms that have come out in the lead up to Christmas (which we are undeniably obsessed with), there is one film that stands out as something a little different this holiday season.

Hailed as the next Die Hard, fans have been obsessed with the new Christmas action film Carry On

Starring Taron Egerton, Jason Bateman and Sofia Carson, the movie follows a young airline security guard (Egerton), who is coerced by a mysterious passenger (Bateman) threatening to smuggle a dangerous package onto a flight on Christmas Eve. Very Die Hard indeed.

While people online have been loving the movie, and it will surely become an annual classic in our Christmas movie arsenal, there is one little detail that has the internet in a bit of a frenzy.

Is it Egerton's impressive action chops? Is it Bateman's unexpected villain arc? All incorrect.

It's actually a pretty glaring continuity mistake that a very eagle-eyed fan shared in a TikTok video, which has since gone very viral. The video points out two scenes involving a baby who seems to change appearance between two shots.

In the first scene, a woman is seen carrying a baby with definitively brown hair. Shortly after, the same woman is seen boarding the plane, holding an entirely different baby. How do we know? Baby number two is bald.

My husband caught this while watching and he had me cackling as I secretly recorded 😂 we recommend watching Netflix’s new film Carry-On 💯 very enjoyable especially, if like me, you know that Die Hard IS a Christmas film. Imo its got some serious 90s vibes!!! Sad to say this is our first Christmas film we’ve watched for the festive season! Geez we’re slackin! We did spot this slight continuity error though 😂 and as parents of bald kiddos when they were babies we love to see em! Apologies for those who don’t like curse words, I have no idea how to bleep it out, so theres a naughty no nos on tikky tokay 🤫 #Netflix #CarryOn #filmtok #movie #movietok #filmclips #ChristmasFilm #Christmas #Fyp #humor #marriage #marriagehumor #random #night #NetflixMovies #netflixmoviestowatch #filmreview #filmcritic #moviereview #moviecritic

"Netflix really said 'no one will notice,'" the Tiktok read.

And while continuity errors are no new phenomena in the movie and TV industry (I'm thinking of Dorothy's magically growing pigtails in The Wizard of Oz or the Starbucks coffee cup left in a shot of Game Of Thrones), the baby-swap in Carry On seems to have fans cackling.

"The first baby said, 'Get somebody else to do it'," one user commented on the video.

"Nobody's gonna know, they gonna know," another wrote.

Others were a bit more critical of the mistake, calling the movie out for keeping in a fairly easy-to-fix error like this one.

"Finally!!! My people. Someone else who is annoyed by continuity errors. They are so easy to not have!" a tougher critic commented.

While we can all acknowledge the mistake is a pretty big oversight (I mean, couldn't they have found two babies that looked even remotely alike?), in the end, it's all a bit of fun.

Given this is a Christmas action movie set at an airport… there are far more unbelievable things happening than a baby magically changing appearances.

And overall, this action-packed new movie is worth a little continuity error.
