If you're married, you really want to hope your name's on this list. Is it?

Something else to consider when choosing a name – will they make a good spouse. Wait, what?

A new survey by Siteopia.com reveals the best names for husbands and wives if you want a lasting marriage.

You know how sometimes — when he forgets (again) to pick up more nappies or can’t remember the playdate you’ve had scheduled for months — you wonder if you married the right man. Well, maybe you should have thought a little harder about what his name says about him.

new study claims your hubby’s first name can determine if he’d make a good husband or not. Their advice? David is great, Katie is, too.

Those are the No. 1 names for men and women who make the best husbands and wives, according to Siteopia.com, a U.K.-based name site.

”It seems certain names tend to crop up more than others when thinking about the qualities of a good husband or wife and the lists no doubt make interesting reading to many,” a Siteopia spokesperson tells The Telegraph. “’Of course, people shouldn’t be judged on a name alone, so while men like David and Andrew seem to be top of the pile, they’ve still got to uphold that reputation day to day.”

So, what’s in a name? Well, this list says it could be key to a long-lasting marriage. Here’s the Siteopia list. And, yes, apparently Lucy, our family dog, would make a better wife than me. (And, no, there’s no need to go telling my husband about that.)
