Which team will win My Kitchen Rules 2024?

The My Kitchen Rules finale is finally here!

After episode on episode of gruelling cooking, and with only two teams left in the competition, things are officially heating up.

Since the beloved cooking competition has been back on our TV screens, fans have gone crazy for the cast and their delicious talents. While there have been a handful of heated dramas so far, there have also been a heap of incredible dishes, making this season a real nail-biter.

With the show now nearing the end and with seven teams eliminated, avid-watchers are eager to see who will be crowned the My Kitchen Rules 2024 winner in the Grand Finale on November 19.

Will it be mother-and-son duo Caz and Fergus or besties Simone and Viviana?

While things can change at any moment when it comes to reality TV, we've used our detective skills (and some simple math) to take a look at which team is likely to win MKR in 2024.

After the recent semi-final cookoffs where we said goodbye to Janey and Maddie, as well as Mike and Pete, the competition between the remaining survivors is, honestly, very close.

However, it seems Simone and Viviana have been consistently in the lead in previous rounds.

During the previous Ultimate Instant Restaurant round, the two remaining teams both scored relatively well, with Simone and Viviana getting 68 out of 100 and Caz and Fergus, just under, at 62 out of 100.

Looking at the leaderboard, Simone and Viviana are certainly in a good place to claim the MKR title. Not only have they been extremely consistent but the duo also made history during the Instant Restaurant round when they were awarded the highest score in MKR's 14-year run. Scoring 104, Simone and Viviana proved they are the team to watch.

Even casting our minds back to round 1, the bestie duo still claimed the second highest score with a total of 74/110, earning a 30/50 contestant score and a 22/30 from both judges.

The support for Simone and Viviana has been impressive online, with many claiming them to be their favourites.

"Go young Italians. Hope you both win MKR," one user commented on Instagram.

However, others have also expressed support for the mother and son duo, Caz and Fergus, who have maintained decent scores throughout the competition (they secured second place in round two).

"I think Fergus and his mum are the best cooks and most consistent," one person commented.

"It's Caz & Fergus for me! Mum and son all the way!" another agreed.

Sadly for Janey and Maddie, who were recently eliminated after being beat by finalists Caz and Fergus, many fans have previously called them out for being kept in the competition purely for their drama.

So after the semi-final elimination, many fans were happy to see them go.

"Justice at last so sorry for all the other teams that were put out just for viewing figures," one user wrote.

"Finally .... l don't have to hear those 2 again," another commented.

Others were more supportive, expressing support for the efforts from both teams.

"Maddie & Janey did very well tonight. That was a close competition. All should be proud," a fan commented.

Similarly, while the previously eliminated Rob and Liam were favourites during round 1 of this season, where they got the highest score of 84/110 for the round, their popularity (and scores) quickly dwindled during the more recent episodes.

Not only did they get the lowest score during the Ultimate Instant Restaurant round, but the brothers also found themselves in hot water because of some scathing comments they made about their opponents, Janey and Maddie.

When tasting their food, Rob and Liam made several disparaging comments, calling their entree "the worst dish of the night."

"They've talked themselves into not enjoying it beforehand because they don't want to be at the bottom," said Caz.

And fans online seemed to agree with the elimination of Rob and Liam.

"Thank god for that, sick of Liams whining," one user commented on a clip on Instagram.

"Don't think Liam was very nice In the end. Rob had to keep telling him to behave, especially when he went Fergus last night. He was a bad sport. As much as I'm not a fan of Janey and Maddie I wasn't really a fan of Liam either in the end!" another wrote.

While we are sad to have said goodbye to so many talented chefs throughout the weeks, we are still holding our breath to see who will come out on top.
