The family of Melbourne woman Ozlem Karakoc have paid tribute to the young mother as her partner faced court charged with her murder.
Ms Karakoc’s body was found in a Lalor house on early Tuesday morning and her partner Murat Davsanoglu, 42, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday night.
“Words can’t explain how much I miss you, you always left your shoulder for me to cry on whenever I had problems,” cousin Seren Ozerkan wrote on Facebook.
“I promise I’ll always be by your beautiful daughter’s side. I will always stand up and support her just like you. I feel so lost, I feel so speechless.”
Another cousin, Sinem Ozerkan, said she would look after Ms Karakoc’s young daughter.
“You left us too soon, you left your little angel Sevim. Don’t worry… we will take care of your daughter, we will look after her.. I promise.. Fly high my angel,” she wrote.
Davsanoglu was arrested on Tuesday morning at a home in Lalor.
He did not apply for bail when he appeared in court and was remanded in custody to reappear on Wednesday morning.
On Monday, police issued a missing persons alert for the pair.
According to the release issued on Monday, Ms Karakoc was last seen in Dandenong on July 14 and concerns were held for the couple because of medical conditions.
