When did you last kiss your husband? Like, really kiss?

The results of this sex survey suprised us, and not for the reason you might think.

It seems Aussie couples are pretty awesome when it comes to love, romance and sex. A sex survey has produced some surprising results, showing majority of couples kiss every day.

Until you’ve been in a long-term relationship, that figure would not seem shocking. In fact the number, 51 per cent, might seem on the low side. But the married amongst us will recognise the significance of making time for a kiss. And we’re not talking about a rushed and hurried close-mouthed peck on the lips. We’re talking about a proper smooch.

And for those of you still worried about the quality of your kisses, Relationships Australia psychologist Anita Vosper says it doesn’t matter. “A good morning or departing kiss is quite important, even if it’s just a peck on the cheek it is a physical contact that expresses some sort of love, it’s a really positive thing to do,” she told the Sunday Telegraph, who conducted the survey.

Aussie couples are also holding hands in public, not cheating on each other and having regular sex. Most of us manage it weekly (hey, raising kids can be pretty tiring) and then 24 per cent are doing it three times a week. Only one in 10 couples do it every day. Hats off to these couples…hats off.

The survey also showed that:

– 43 per cent of couples are lasting 10 years or more;

– 71 per cent agree that infidelity is a deal-breaker;

– One in 20 have fantasised about a partner’s sibling.

So overall, we’re all doing pretty well. So proud of us.

When is the last time you and your partner shared a proper kiss?
