The season finale of My Kitchen Rules aired on Sunday night.
There were lamb brains.
There were blowtorches.
There was a whole lot of Emily yellin’ out “Alex!”.
There was one very weird fight between Kim and Suong in which they both seemed to be on the same side ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
And, at the end of it all, Alex and Emily were named the winners of 2018.
They got to take home $250,000 and possibly some leftover lamb brains.
We debrief on a Bach in Paradise finale that had us feeling far more than we expected to. Post continues.
After the show aired the couple faced a fair bit of backlash online, with a lot of people commenting on their relationship.
More specifically, how Emily treated Alex during the show.
Emily told Mamamia she knows people are “saying horrible things” about her online, but she doesn’t think they have any real clue about her relationship with Alex.
“I mean this with no disrespect to anyone who’s got opinions but they wouldn’t know the first thing about our relationship,” she told Mamamia.
“Everyone at home sees like an hour and a half of us each night under a crazy pressure cooker environment.”
Emily believes editing definitely played a role in making their relationship look a lot more dramatic than what it is.
