1. The family of 5-year-old boy missing at sea take to Facebook to share their grief.

Chayce Kofe, 5, went missing at Pearl Beach on NSW’s Central Coast, on Thursday. Chayce was reportedly swept out to sea by a ‘freak’ wave and an air and sea search has been in place since yesterday. Chayce was reportedly playing in the shallows of, what residents say, is a dangerous beach.

Chayce’s aunt, Wella, shared her and the families grief via her Facebook as the search continues today for the little boy.

2. Heath Ledger's dad comments on Ryan Corr's drug charge.

Australian actor Ryan Corr was allegedly found with drugs in the eastern Sydney suburb of Bondi in May 2014. News broke of the charge once the media saw the court documents lodged this week.

Now, Heath Ledger's father, Kim Ledger, has commented on the drug charge. Ryan received a scholarship from the Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship in 2011 (named after the late Hollywood actor who passed away from a prescription medication overdose).

Kim told The Sydney Morning Herald, "It does make me sad to hear that because we have enough problems with alcohol and drugs. I have some empathy for what happens around that situation with families but very little empathy for people that put it in their own mouth. We do what we can to help people but we're not involved in the pro-active side of it."

3. A trolley full of groceries is more expensive in Sydney than in London, NY or Hong Kong.

Sydney is the 5th most expensive city to live in (Singapore, Paris, Oslo and Zurich held the top 4 spots). And after analysis of the data, News.com.au calculated that a trolley in Sydney with bread, butter, apples, tomatoes, eggs, mince, fresh chicken, cheese, spaghetti and milk was more expensive than in London, New York and Hong Kong.

And apparently, Sydneysiders choose this. Sydneysiders believe that the more expensive a grocery item is the better the quality. And shows like MasterChef reinforce this belief.

4. Spray sunscreen may be unsafe for children.

A US-based consumer company has issued a warning on the use of spray sunscreens - popular for their ease in application on wriggly children. The main concern is the possibility that people, particularly children, breathe in the ingredients.

Consumer Reports has recommended to not use sprays on children unless you have no other product available. Adults can still use the product, however are recommended not to use it on the face.

5. Single and looking for a man (or woman) in uniform? You're in luck.

Brand Manager at Uniform Dating told News.com.au that irregular shift work and demanding hours of uniform employees makes them struggle in the dating field. She said, "They work long and unpredictable hours and the serious or high risk nature of their roles can be stressful".
