Almost two months on from her wedding to Snapchat creator Evan Spiegel, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has released images of her haute couture wedding gown and OH. MY. GOD.
No, really. Just, good lord that is a wedding dress and-a-half.
Speaking to Vogue about the custom-made long-sleeved high neck Dior gown, Kerr said, “this beautiful dress is…so stunning. Grace Kelly was a real inspiration with her dress and how timeless it is.”
She continued, “Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful wedding dress.”
Dior’s new head designer Maria Grazia Chiuri described the gown as “emotional and simple at the same time.”
Of the classic design, Kerr said, “I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back. My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel.”
The 34-year-old paired the ball gown with a pearl Steven Jones headpiece, which was also a custom design for the day, naturally.
Kerr married her longtime tech beau in an intimate backyard ceremony at their California home in May, surrounded by just 45 friends and family. Kerr had no bridesmaids, but her six-year-old son, Flynn, whom she shares with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, played ring bearer on the big day.
