She may be the Queen of the Australian fitness industry but Michelle Bridges says she won’t give in to post-baby body pressure.
The Biggest Loser trainer, who is 6 months pregnant with her first child appeared on The Project last night with her partner, ‘Commando Steve’ Willis to promote the latest series of The Biggest Loser, ‘TBL Families’.
The Project hosts asked Bridges, 39, how the mum-to-be was going.
“Really well, I’m still training and having the whip cracked on me but it's great, we’re very, very happy,” she said referring to her partner 'Commando Steve'.
Bridges was asked if she had any strange pregnancy cravings and whether she had succumbed to a cheeky hotdog or two but as it turns out, she's remained pretty dedicated to her healthy diet.
“I’ve just upped all the food I always ate and I’ve put on a little bit of weight but I feel for good for that," she said, adding that she hadn’t really had any strange food cravings.
Although she has cut back her training throughout her pregnancy Michelle has still remained active and when questioned, Bridges said she wasn't too concerned about the pressure some women feel to bounce back to their post-baby body quickly.
“I’m pretty clear cut about that – that’s a pressure I don’t accept…I get it, that it's around and that some women feel that pressure but I’m just so looking forward to spending time with my baby and my fitness will come but this is a different chapter in my life right now and I'm whole heartedly accepting it and relishing in it.
