Michael and Lindy Klim announce their separation.

After a long period of speculation, Australian swimmer Michael Klim and model Lindy Klim have announced the end of their marriage.

A representative for the former couple issued a statement today.

The statement read, “It is with much respect for each other that Michael and Lindy Klim have agreed to formally separate, believing that this decision is best for their family. Michael and Lindy’s children will always remain their highest priority, and their happiness will be Michael and Lindy’s primary focus. We ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”

Speculation that the pair were having issues began late last year when they stopped positing photos of each other on social media.

Public appearances were also few and far between.

Michael and Lindy have three children together, Stella, 10, Rocco, 7, and Frankie, 4.
