The mother a woman who was stabbed to death at a backpackers in Home Hill, near Townsville, in August last year, has slammed the inclusion of her murder on a list of “underreported terror attacks” released by the Trump administration.
The list described 78 attacks that were “executed or inspired by” Islamic State since September 2014. The Sydney Lindt Cafe siege and the shooting murder of police worker Curtis Cheng in Parramatta were also included on the list.

It is alleged Rosie Ayliffe’s 21-year-old daughter Mia Ayliffe-Chung was murdered by 29-year-old Frenchman Smail Ayad, who is believed to have had romantic interest in her.
