Every single chaotic 2025 Met Gala moment you (probably) missed yesterday.

The 2025 Met Gala happened, and between the red carpet antics and the stunning looks, we had fun!

The annual event known by most as 'Fashion Christmas', held at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, dazzled this year with its theme 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' and the dress code 'Tailored for You.'

The star-studded guest list included co-chairs Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and Anna Wintour, along with celebrities like Rihanna, Zendaya, Kim Kardashian, Barry Keoghan, Sabrina Carpenter and Miley Cyrus.

With the event done and dusted for the year, it's time to round up all the sweet, wholesome and chaotic moments you missed.

Rihanna and Ciara finally squashed their beef.

A win for divas everywhere! Rihanna and Ciara are pals again!

ICYMI: Rihanna and Ciara's feud dates back to 2011 after Ciara told E!'s Fashion Police that Rihanna "wasn't the nicest" when they met at a party.

Rihanna clapped back on Twitter with the now-iconic line, "Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of," sparking a fiery exchange between the pop stars.

The two later made up online, but it's now official with the two happily posing together at the 2025 Met Gala, where they smiled together as Ciara cradled Rihanna's baby bump. My gals!

Sabrina Carpenter, Jennie and friends posted a cheeky bathroom selfie.

One of a handful of bathroom selfies (which are technically prohibited as phones are banned), Sabrina Carpenter featured in a pic with BLACKPINK'S Jennie alongside Angèle and Whitney Peak, who uploaded the image to Instagram.

In the photo, Whitney can be seen smoking a cigarette which is low-key scandalous considering that smoking is banned at the Met Gala.

But don't worry, the cigarette was actually a prop, as the cigarette was part of her nail art.

Doechii was captured having stern words with her team.

An incident filmed before the Met Gala began is causing headlines.

In the clip, Doechii can be overheard sounding frustrated that her outfit was almost exposed to photographers inside The Mark Hotel. She snapped at her team, demanding more umbrellas to shield her as she prepared for her entrance.

In the viral video, she was heard yelling, "I need another umbrella now!" and "I need more f**king umbrellas!" as her staff scrambled to cover her with a mobile curtain and additional umbrellas.

The moment has been criticised by some for the way the singer spoke to her team.

Lorde opened up about her gender identity.

In an interview with Emma Chamberlain for Vogue, the Kiwi singer Lorde spoke about her gender identity when speaking about her look from Thom Browne.

"To me, it really represents where I'm at gender wise. I feel like a man and a woman," Lorde said.

Kylie Jenner's feet got stuck in her shoes.

Kylie Jenner's 2025 Met Gala look turned painful when she taped her feet into her Ferragamo heels on the advice of designer Maximilian Davis… only to find herself stuck in her shoes after the event.

Kylie's team had to pry the shoes off, spraying liquid and tugging as she cried out, "Ow!" Beauty is pain etc etc.

A few exes almost crossed paths.

Miley Cyrus walked the same red carpet as her ex-boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger, who she dated from late 2014 to early 2015 for about five months.

In a 'big yikes' moment, cameras captured The White Lotus star looking in Cyrus' direction as she posed for photos, but the two did not engage with each other.

Exes Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan also both attended the event. Awkward!

Barry Keoghan made a dramatic entrance inspired by his upcoming role as Ringo Starr in the Beatles biopic. He wore a custom Valentino ensemble that channelled the iconic Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band military attire.

The two exes were not spotted together, and their awkward reunion follows the couple reportedly splitting up in December 2024.

Interestingly, Sabrina's bestie, actress Joey King, was snapped delivering some glances Barry's way as he spoke to Lorde.

Kim Kardashian made a bold statement with her jewellery.

Kim Kardashian made a bold statement at the 2025 Met Gala with her head-to-toe black leather ensemble, but it was her jewellery that truly turned heads.

She layered on a multi-strand diamond choker necklace sourced from Moussaieff that shimmered from her throat down to her chest, paired with dangling diamond drop earrings and several rings with strings of pearls also dangling from her waistband.

The look was a far cry from her 2017 outfit for the Met Gala, which featured Kim wearing zero jewellery in the aftermath of her being held at gunpoint during the Paris robbery.

"I truly don't know if I'd ever feel comfortable, I truly don't know if I'd ever wear real jewellery again," Kardashian told The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2017.

Over the years, Kim has slowly started wearing more excessive jewellery again.

In a 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Kim opened up about wanting to embrace jewellery again after designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana gifted her a black-and-white diamond cross necklace.

"I haven't really been about wearing jewellery, because when it was taken from me, I didn't know I was ready for that experience of what that meant but I was. I was ready to give it up," she reflected.

"This brought a piece of my glamour back to me and that's why it's so special that I got it back from a really meaningful experience."

The timing of Kim's latest blinged-out Met Gala look is particularly significant — a mere week ago, the trial began in Paris with 10 people facing charges including armed robbery, membership of a criminal gang and kidnapping.

Two pregnancies were announced.

She might not have turned up at the Met Gala until the very end, but Rihanna still caused a huge commotion. In a fitted Miu Miu set, the singer first debuted her baby bump while arriving at the Carlyle Hotel in New York ahead of her Met Gala appearance.

But she saved the main look for the Met Gala, where she stunned in a Marc Jacobs outfit that accentuated her baby bump.

Rihanna's partner A$AP Rocky, who co-chaired the event, confirmed the news, joking to AP that "It's time to show the people what we was cooking up. I'm glad everybody's happy for us because we're definitely happy, you know!"

Rihanna spoke to Entertainment Tonight about what her pregnancy meant for her music career. She assured the host that more music is still coming, saying "Maybe a couple videos. I can still sing."

Karlie Kloss also made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her third pregnancy with husband Josh Kushner.

A White Lotus feud almost led to an awkward encounter.

After weeks of rumours of a rift between the actors who played love interests on The White Lotus, both Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood attended the 2025 Met Gala.

Walton made his Met Gala debut in a bold Thom Browne ensemble, while Aimee Lou Wood also attended for the first time, showcasing a striking asymmetrical suit-gown by designer Priya Ahluwalia.

Curiously, Wood walked the red carpet with her The White Lotus co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger, who walked the red carpet in a custom Balmain suit with a yellow silk shirt.

Aimee Lou told E! News that she attended the event with Patrick so she'd be less nervous. "I'm struggling to find my words. My mouth is really dry. But Patrick — thank God. He was like, 'I'm going. Should we go together in the car?' And I said, 'Yes, please,'" she recalled. "So, we came in the car together and that had made everything a lot less scary."

It doesn't appear that Aimee and Patrick interacted with Walton, but another White Lotus co-star, Lisa, also walked the red carpet separately…

Lisa seemingly wore Black historical figures on her underwear.

Lisa from BLACKPINK sparked controversy at the 2025 Met Gala with her debut outfit. Well, more specifically, the lingerie she wore underneath.

She wore a glittering, pantsless Louis Vuitton ensemble, but the most divisive detail was her bodysuit, which appeared to be emblazoned with images of influential Black historical figures, most notably Rosa Parks.

Many critics on social media found the placement of Parks' face on her lingerie highly disrespectful and in poor taste, especially considering Parks' legacy as a pivotal civil rights leader. The backlash intensified due to recent resurfaced clips showing Lisa and other BLACKPINK members using racial slurs.

To be clear, it's unconfirmed if it is Rosa Parks, or other historical figures on the bodysuit. According to The Cut, a Louis Vuitton representative said the print was created by American artist, Henry Taylor, and captured "portraits of figures who have been a part of the artist's life".

There was a fun little F1 moment.

Damson Idris delivered one of the most memorable moments at the 2025 Met Gala with a dramatic, F1-inspired outfit reveal.

He arrived on the blue floral carpet in a full white racing suit and a bejewelled helmet as a nod to his upcoming film F1, in which he stars as rookie driver Joshua Pearce alongside Brad Pitt.

The racing suit was custom-made by Tommy Hilfiger and featured more than 20,000 Swarovski crystals on the helmet.
